Just one street in West U is affected. The rest of us are free to drink, bathe, etc. West U invested in the worlds largest Brita filter years ago to address these scenarios

I agree, but we live in the age of overly cautious. Every floor at our office has a water/ice machine that runs through a filtration system. Some moron decides to drink the water or add some ice for their Coke, gets sick, and it's settlement time. Same if someone gets sick because the equipment in the cafeteria gets washed after lunch.

I'm totally fine working from the house. I just wish they would have effing said something before I left rather than sending out an email during their morning dump.

Love these types...polar opposite arch enemies of the fat office Brenda's just looking for a single ice cycle during a cold front so they can stay home "for their safety".

"Yeah there's sheets of ice on the roads and record snowfall, but I somehow managed to make it into the office at 6am, not sure why the rest of the city can't do the same!"

Mayor Cheel says that the BWN was issued as an abundance of caution. But from what I understand it's required by TCEQ when pressures drop.

Also said the delay between pressure drop and BWN is acceptable since they have a 24 hr window to issues a BWN once the pressure drops.

But he apologized for the inconveniences.

He also said that criminals need to boil the water used to wash their gats, so that gunshot victims do not get secondary infections from contaminated water before they bleed out.

I've switched from tap water to bottle water because I have the bottled water on hand. I don't usually drink the water in the shower but I was a bit risky when I brushed my teeth this morning.

HEB on Washington had like 3 cases of Dasani when I ran there for a few things around 10:30. No other full sized cases of bottled water. Just the 6 packs, etc.

HEB on Bunker Hill had two pallets of bottles in 24 packs this morning at 10:30 or so. They had a decent bit of water other than that, but it was relatively low. They had a limit of two on any bottled or jug water, though it didn't seem that they were enforcing it based on what I saw when checking out.

I think you have to have 2 clean tests like 48 hours apart and it takes time to get the results.
