Vehicles westbound backed up to Tulane from Shepherd at 4:15. Saw at least 12 cars cut down Nicholson in a 90sec span.

Just following this thread, literally every update about the construction is worse than the last one. Its like every step is meant to inflict maximum pain.
Exactly how the idiots in gov't want it.
Do you honestly think any of these people live in the neighborhoods they are ****ing over?Ciboag96 said:
Has anyone seen the flying ****ress who came up with this project even riding her witch bike in these new ****ing lanes? I swear I have only seen people riding their bikes on the sidewalk.
Do they have signs up that say it's illegal to turn left onto Heights? I know they're up on Heights to 11th but when I drove through that intersection on Tuesday I didn't see any.drumboy said:
Had to sit through an extra light crossing Heights cause a dip**** was illegally turning left holding up traffic.
Lady on Nextdoor was griping about getting passed by an e bike going 30mph and running the light at Heights.
Yes. They are on the signal mast arms.Quote:

I don't live anywhere around there but enjoy the cynicism towards dumb local government. It's like a real life Parks & Rec episode
I'm not on Nextdoor, but I've heard it's been a huge, angry meltdown over this project.drumboy said:

Abbie doesn't give a **** about opposition to the project or what people who actually live here think. I expressed my concerns and opposition for the project directly to her in a one-on-one conversation. She rolled her eyes at me, told me I was wrong, and refused to discuss it any further.Chewy said:
I hope they all realize Abbie Kamen is the only one that can feel real pain over this. Turner is term limited and the rest of the people are COH employees who DGAF about the residents this effects and basically untouchable from ordinary citizens.
I think Kamen is the only one that could actually lose her spot over this. I don't think she will as the people *****ing don't realize it and even if they did won't show up to vote next time she's on the ballot.

. I was tempted to hold up a sign on 11th that said, "Are you enjoying the new 11th St? Call Abbie Kamin @ ___"
Oh **** no. You couldn't pay me enough for that.Irish 2.0 said:

Rode 11th Street for some delicious pizza at the new Gypsy Poet location! And we weren’t the only ones. One of the owners thanked me for the new bike lanes but I told him I couldn’t take credit! @HoustonPlanning @HouPublicWorks pic.twitter.com/XLSbDL32mv

Ah yes, the "we bike so much we have to rent one" crowd. Exactly who this was built for.
