And I am fine to be judged but I think that the harm to my child is much less than the benefits of the school they are in because either, we would have less income, or the kid would be in a less good school. I'm curious if the naysayers have any idea the struggle of trying to get in a different daycare right now. Daycare teachers are hard to come by for many reasons so a lot of schools are not accepting as many kids and if they are there are wait periods. Hell, to get the one in that started March 1st, 20 we got on the list when my wife was 6 weeks pregnant and then revised after he was born in Oct 19 and we only got in when we did I think because of personal connections and "legacy". It is harder now because from my understanding schools are running below their capacity because of lack of teachers.

Like I said, there has been improvements, albeit slow and I hope to be out of masks by the end of the year but I understand them being conservative. Several of the teachers got covid but none got passed to the kids as far as we know. They literally never shut except for 2 weeks back in march of 20 when everything shut. At least for essential workers. They invested heavily in peroxide foggers and did an awesome job keeping things clean when we really didn't know what we were doing. They had plans to deal with everything along the way. If they keep the kids in masks for a bit longer, I'm not going to attack the administrators for being conservative. I know that it doesn't affect kids as bad and they do also I'm sure but there was obviously pressure from parents so they need to have a balanced approach. I don't think that it raises to the level of child abuse like smoking inside a car with a child, but I am willing to learn. My kid is still very sociable and still can interact with classmates and teachers so I think we are doing ok and I won't be raising "Tommy" in a few years.

And we're actually closer to Blue Mountain Beach. If you've got little kids I highly recommend Grayton because the pass from the dune lake to the beach forms a little lagoon that's generally gin clear and perfectly calm for little kids.

Got the J&J today. Pretty much told after 3 months do it or find employment elsewhere. So far my dick still works, haven't grown a extra butthole, or a extra toe. Hasn't solved my residing hair line, knee or back pain.

The company I work for is world wide. They held off as long as they could, but now the message has been pretty much put out there. I could go a few more months, but you can see how it's going. I can say F*** You or lose in the end. Wife's not happy, but it is what it is. Never been one to conform, but retirement is right there. I've worked all over for 25 years, if a shot brings me over the finish line than so be it. Sucks, but legally they can do it.

We just had to sign a form saying we were vaccinated else we are required to wear a mask. Pure honor system (I work for a O&G major)

I needed something that HEB didn't have so I went over to Krogers. I've been in this Krogers several times without a mask and without an issue. Today a guard stops me and says I need a mask to be in the store and tries to walk me over to where I guess they have masks. I say no and walk out.

It's been a month since the mandate was dropped and cases are falling. I just don't get it.

Update: went by Buchanan's yesterday and only saw one person wearing a mask. The pandemic must truly be over.
