Really stupid question here, but 15% of what? Are they saying that 15% of hospitalizations are Chinavirus related?Quote:
DSHS data shows that coronavirus-related hospitalizations in Trauma Service Area Q, which includes Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties, have been above 15% for six consecutive days.

That is very optimistic.
Agreed, hasn't he basically said a lockdown is needed?

Y'all just wait. As soon as he is in office the covid death and case charts will be replaced with a number of vaccines administered chart and a "return to normal" narrative. Lockdowns aren't popular and Ds won't push them when they can no longer blame a republican President.
Good thing we only have restaurants now and no bars.jetch17 said:

Asuming it's just offering and not requiring, what's wrong with that?

Because it encourages kids who have symptoms to go to school to get the free test.
Kids who are symptomatic should be staying home.
Kids who are not symptomatic do not need to be tested. When I had it, our school nurse specifically told me to not have my son tested unless he developed symptoms.
What'd she say when you told her that?cone said:

Should we wait until they are before taking extra preventative measures? I'd rather not see Houston in the situation being described here:

The problem is we've been inundated with fear porn for months (when it wasn't a big deal) and now that it actually is becoming an issue, people are over it.wessimo said:
It is a legitimate question. What would help is for the majority of individuals to actually take the virus seriously and limit risky interactions.
