Yup - this is the time of year that new instruction ends and STAAR review starts. No STAAR means no need for review...and no real need for summer school. 75% of the summer school kids are the ones that need to re-test.

Not completely. Conroe schools have already sent out emails about homework. They are going to try to do online/self-directed learning.

I suspect the other suburban districts will do the same.

This is crap. Local government officials are seizing on the opportunity to be Big Man.

Local officials and reporters downplayed this for months. Ideological reporters like Miya Shay called people racist and xenophobic for being concerned. Local officials and reporters kept making a show of going down to Chinatown and pretending nothing was wrong.

They were all lying then, and they're all lying now.

I wish they would just make a decision on school for the rest of the year. Stop this few weeks at a time.

If they close I can just pull my middle kid from daycare for April and May. May was going to be his last month. Maybe I can save $2k
