I'm not certain that a vaccine won't eventually get here. I just think the idea of putting all our hopes in the vaccine basket is stupid. I don't have the data to back this up, but I would bet that black people are less likely to go get tested than white people after experiencing symptoms. Especially
Now since it's so difficult to find testing availability. That's just an observation from looking at the testing lines.

I think that's why we didn't see an uptick in cases from the riots, I mean protests. But then again no one really knows how Or where they got covid.

I flew back to the States from London in March. Gate next to me was boarding for Shanghai... 4 out of 5 of the passengers boarding were dressed similar.

Left the state today. There are no masks and even stopped at a gas station that had hot dogs out in the open for you to just grab. Almost bought one out of principle.

Are they stopping people at the door or chasing them down in the store with 2x4's?

I was at the Walmart in Brenham yesterday and only the workers had them on.

Slight dip in new cases is encouraging, obv too early to make much of it as is reflected in rolling avg. I also suspect the data over this holiday weekend will be lumpy.

My guess would be that deaths increasing would lag the surge in cases so that might be the new focus if we see that number jump in the coming days / weeks. However if we can continue to knock down the new cases I'll feel encouraged. So many factors tho in that new cases number that it's hard to extrapolate too much.

I think best case it would take a few weeks to see any behavioral changes reflected in the data but hopefully I'm wrong.
