For reference, Harris County is teal. Previous high was early April, mid-800's, for all counties combined. Harris turned in 1,187 today.

All I can say is "whoa", and don't go to bars. Hopefully this is an anomaly.

So what are you worried about? In April everything was shut down-no one moving around. Not the case now and numbers increase to a level of eh. What am I missing?

Houston Health Department's post yesterday said 86% of those tests were from June 5-10, seems like they were from a backlog in reporting. Won't stop the media from freaking out and running with it though.

Got tested Tuesday, still waiting on results. It sucks. I no longer feel very sick, just want to get on with my life. Getting tested seemed like the responsible thing to do. But the high personal cost of isolating while waiting just sucks.

I'm tempted to give blood sometime this week just because of the free COVID antibody testing.

Curious to see if I've had it already. If so, I'd fell better about venturing out and being around people.

I haven't hear about Galveston either, but both judges took a pretty firm stance against requiring them I thought so I don't see that happening.

No. The Montgomery County judge has said he won't. Montgomery County will do the bare minimum of what the state requires. The County judge tried to fight the shutdown when it was first ordered by Abbott.

There are also only 9 people in the hospital for COVID in Montgomery County.

There are 15 MoCo residents hospitalized anywhere as of yesterday afternoon's update. That is down from 70ish several weeks ago.

So 9 in MoCo in 6 in Harris.

There are several good hospitals in MoCo. You'd have to have a good reason to drive past Memorial Herman , Houston Methodist and St. Luke's on your way to Harris County. Maybe some edges of the county would go to Tomball...?

I'm just across the lake from Galveston County and I'm almost positive they are not requiring masks.

That being said, the businesses here in seabrook don't seem to care too much if you (or they) are wearing masks.
