I thought that as well, but pretty sure I learned that the San jacinto and other rivers/bayous have springs underneath them on the best resource out there, the tine board.

Smith Lake looks like a place I would actually consider going to.

Cleaner, safer, nicer, and from everything I can tell not run by rednecks renting out their slurry pit. Oh yeah...It's only $7 per person.

The lifeguards are certainly a plus.
