Never heard of that but I like it
This. For me, when the Speedy Pro is an option, it's the only option.schmendeler said:
For me, of those three, it's 100% the speedmaster.
That is definitely a sharp watch.TheOC16 said:
I am one of the weird ones who doesn't get the Oyster Perpetual. Rolex has lots of cool watches that are worth paying the "Rolex premium", but to me there's nothing about that one (or - gasp - the Explorer!) that warrant paying double the price or more from other "everyday" sports watches.
Honestly you might even look at the newer version of the Longines Conquest. It may be that it's close enough to the Aqua Terra that you could pocket your savings and come back in a year or two and get the Speedy too...
But if it's just down to Aqua Terra vs. Speedy, then welcome to club Omega. It's a good club. Seems like the next tier step up from your current collection. Two very different watches so you'll just have to daydream about both for a few weeks or months and see which one you find yourself gravitating harder towards.

With your collection, I'd go with something little more dressy with a white face on a leather strap. I like this Baume & Mercier Classima.

That's gorgeous. Price?
That is real sharp as well. (And definitely something I considered...I don't have a white face dress watch). My only concern is that I just don't wear a suit everyday. I don't wear a suit every month. 90% of the time, im in jeans or chinos. Not as much opportunity to wear it.Marauder Blue 6 said:$3,150ChipFTAC01 said:Marauder Blue 6 said:

I think it'd be versatile enough to wear every day, not just with suits. It's just something different than black face/metal bracelet.Tex117 said:That is real sharp as well. Yes, but you don't get the factory warranty card. Your warranty is through them.
it's not a big deal at all not having the factory warranty card practically unless it's an "in-house movement", but it cheapens the feel of the watch to me for some reason, but i'm a weirdo. To be honest though, we're all kind of weirdos to pay 4-5 figures for mechanical watches, when the Apple watch ultra is the absolute pinnacle of wrist utility at $1,000 or so.JCA1 said:schmendeler said:

Thanks. As a watch newbie (stumbling onto this thread last year is gonna end up costing me a bunch of money), how big a deal is this? I'm not looking at anything too crazy but there's a Nomos I like that they have for $1,000 less than MSRP.

Yep happy to help with the speedy. Thanks everyone for the comment.
I can't really beat $6500, because my discount I can offer is 18%…but mine would be fresh from the AD. Also I think you pay fees and taxes through chrono24.
