Agreed. I just bought this watch with fluted bezel and diamond dial. Only reason I wanted to get rid of this one.

I'm on a wait list for either black dial, gray dial, or green dial with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. I'll check back next summer lol

Since you said "thoughts", yes. I do not use a watchwinder for my watches and just keep them in a safe drawer on their side (crown up) until I wear them, when I set them again.

I have no clue, that just was an instruction given by Rolex, I believe they said it helped with time regulation.

Question....does the Rolex site show ALL possible configurations for dials on each watch?

For instance, on a Datejust for wife, she is leaning towards two tone with silver dial but I do not see that as an option when I "configure" online. We spoke to an AD a couple days ago, he wrote it down as our preference so I assume it is doable / made or he was not really paying attention...?

I REALLY like the 75th Anniversary Aqua Terra dark blue. It's a hefty $$ to stomach for me but love it.

Agreed. Never understood the brown leather strap instead of black or grey.

The dial and bezel are taupe. Which is a warm color (not cool) so while you're free to put whatever looks good to you on your watch, you gotta be careful to match that tone if you want it to be the same color temperature.

If you and I understand that, I would have thought a well respected watch company could as well and sourced a grey leather strap.

I would def be interested in a warm gray strap. I agree it's weird they don't have one as an option. I still would love a silver bracelet though.

All kidding aside.

I don't think your reasoning is what is driving this. It's that the watch is actual silver, which turns. So the problem isn't the color of the dial at purchase, but that no one other than the owner will know what the silver tone of the watch will actually be.

So putting a silver watch strap means it will more than likely not match the watch the majority of the life of the watch and ultimately look bad.

So them not providing a silver strap option has more to do with them actually thinking this through and making sound design decisions instead of what we were joking about.
