Recognizability. (If that's a word). Rolex is one of the most recognizable luxury brands in the world. Just like Louis Vuitton or Ferrari. Everyone knows what they look like and their logo. Very few know Mouawad or Bugatti.

A lot of the comperably expensive watches aren't recognizable by the masses. It could be stupid expensive or an Affliction knock-off.

I think you can ask that same question about anything that is popular and in demand. There are some rational and irrational answers to that question. A lot of it is probably people wanting in on the hype. The illusion of excellence or the appearance they have access to scarce goods others don't probably plays a part in a lot of purchases.

FWIW: there is a huge pushback on the puzzle piece symbology and Autism Speaks in general in the neurodivergent community. The thought is that people on the Autism Spectrum aren't just missing a piece. They are who they are, and that is different than someone that is neurotypical. There isn't a missing piece that needs to be replaced, but rather they should be accepted for who they are, because being on the spectrum is just the hand they were dealt.

Yeah. I was in Project Sunshine and worked with special needs families in college. We use to offer free date nights to give couples a few hours away from their kiddos and focus on each other for a change. That community will always have a special place in my heart. That being said, It's been a minute so the puzzle debate is need to me as well. But I appreciate you share that.
