Not yet. I can pay for the repairs… but I hate that it happened. I'm having it appraised while they repair so I can add it to policy. Hoping it's just the crystal that's broken and no damage to watch mechanisms. I'll know in 2-3 weeks.

The diaspora from Hong Kong brought a LOT of wealth into Singapore, even by previous Singapore standards. Hong Kong opening back up should ease things a bit out there. I'm relocating to Sydney soon and will be in Singapore for work fairly often so I can keep an eye on things there.
I can't imagine what cost of living in Sydney must be like compared to before Covid. It was pretty expensive then.
A friend of mine who has been Singapore since 2009ish is also moving to Sydney because his condo lease was up and it went from $8k to $17.5k per month. So Sydney has to be more affordable than what has happened in Singapore over the last few years.
Rents are skyrocketing in Sydney too.
Unless you are paying rent in APs, TAKE IT TO THE TRAVEL BOARD!

Yep, they are cream of the crop in terms of best "value for your money" watches, along with Orient and Christopher Ward at the lower end and Omega (most models) higher.
They'd be my go-to recommendation for a lot of people's first nice watch.
*Edit to add: though this piece, as well as some of their other recent releases seem to be odd placement for Swatch to attempt to move Longines up-market, hence reducing some of the aforementioned value proposition.

I liked the non-chronograph version of that watch so much better. I guess they discontinued it.
Same AD as the green Glashutte above just sent me this. It's beautiful but I can't take it seriously. Not the moon watch, you can't make a gold moon watch
