I have this one on the black crocodile strap.

I do enjoy wearing it. For me, its my more dressy than a dive watch watch.

at 43 mm, its about as big a watch as I am comfortable wearing. Its lighter than my Omega POS 600m, but still feels sizeable on my wrist. I wouldn't call it bulky, but it is big.

120-hour reserve is remarkable, but at least put that movement inside a fresh new model. I like Oris, but not sure how they figure that competes in the $4k+ price market.

I have a Ball with an 80-hour reserve and it is a great feature.

Speaking of Oris, a few months ago I posted my blue big crown pointer date on leather strap for sale here. No takers so I ordered the bracelet from Oris and it really made the wearing experience much more enjoyable. But then I got my Rolex finally and don't wear anything else so I'm selling it again. On the bracelet the watch retails for 1950 new and 1750 on leather. Chrono24 has these going for 1400-1800ish.

I'm selling it for 1500 but you get both the bracelet and strap. I have the box and all the goodies with it. I'm in Austin. Pics to follow if I can figure it out.

Congrats. Were you able to get it through an AD, or did you have to go grey market? If an AD, how long did you have to wait?

I got it at Ben bridge. Waited 6 months. The other AD (Kormans) wanted me to buy a bunch of crap that I didn't want.

He can definitely get you one of those Planet Oceans if you're wanting one. Are you talking about the white face or the black with black and orange bezel? AD's should have them in stock for you to try on to determine proper case size.

I've tried to walk in and time one of these moonwatch swatches in the galleria houston a few times and have had zero luck. Just want something cheap to knock around in besides a luminox. NYC just have some in stock?

I received my Pluto Moon Swatch from FTAC! He threw a maroon NATO on it and it really sets it off. Super light weight and has the classic look.

Ok I have maybe a dumb question. I have a Seiko Alpinist ref SARB017. I wear it a lot, call it a daily driver. The strap on it I think is original to the watch, decent but not great quality crocodile pattern leather, and the strap has seen better days. How do I find a replacement strap that I can use the original Seiko deployment clasp on? I've never bought a replacement strap. Seems like every replacement I find online has its own regular strap and I'm unsure if it would be compatible with the clasp.

I wasn't aware that watch had a deployant clasp.

Anyhow, just find any strap that'll fit the lug width of your watch (20mm I think, Google it) and it's pretty intuitive how to swap out the deployant clasp. You just need a spring bar tool. I'm sure there are plenty of videos on YouTube. All you need is a spring bar tool and a minute or two.

You'll need to match the lug width and the width at the clasp width to ensure that the clasp will still work.

My SARB017 just had a regular buckle

Hmm maybe the person I bought it from swapped the buckle. It says Seiko on it so I assumed it was from the factory.

A Google search turns up this, so I bet it was stock.



There's a seller on eBay, Lovestrap2 (yes, it sounds dirty), who can do custom straps and other leather work. I bet they could help you out.
