But how are they going to be priced, and are they going to be as hard to find at a reasonable price as they are now?
Seems if the quest is quality and value, it doesn't really matter how long they've been open.Farmer1906 said:
That and they're relatively new. They don't have 100+ years of a rich history.

I asked this forum recently about Baltic. Anyone own one? Feedback?

I mean, TAG should be the poster child for this, no?
Seems pretty hypocritical at best from you Farmer.

To me, these new brands that get common movements and throw it in cases we've all seen before don't provide much value. Sure, it tells the time, but so does my microwave.
Give me something interesting, something with a story, something unique, something complicated.
Appropriate you had Nomos and boring in the same post.Farmer1906 said:
Doesn't have to be expensive. Nomos is one of my favorite brands. They're extremely affordable.
Don't be boring.
Sorry, they don't have any dive watches for you.AgLA06 said:Appropriate you had Nomos and boring in the same post.Farmer1906 said:

Should I respond or let you keep editing and adding more silliness?AgLA06 said:
Do they come with a matching pocket protector?
I didn't realize taking a pocket watch and putting a band on it was innovative.
If you think they're so great, why are they considered one of the watch brands with the worst resale value?

Geez,...I'm going to agree with Farmer as 5 years does sound pretty "Johnny come lately."
So you're stance is they are innovative and unique, yet can't hold their value compared to lesser brands?Farmer1906 said:Should I respond or let you keep editing and adding more silliness?AgLA06 said:

No pocket protector, but they sell a really neat sundial and other accessories. You should check it out.
What is innovative is they are an independent watchmaker that does almost everything in-house. Their calibre design & manufacturing almost all take place in one little town.
While I would appreciate a high resale value, what is important to me in a watch isn't what is important to everyone else. I'm comfortable with that.

My microwave has GMT capability. I now know what time my Totino's Pizza Rolls are being heated in Naples, Italy, where they were invented.Farmer1906 said:Quality is a pre-req, not a differentiator.AgLA06 said:Seems if the quest is quality and value, it doesn't really matter how long they've been open.Farmer1906 said:
