Number two is more visually interesting to me
I guess I did cheat. Yeah, I'm kind of obsessed with Glashutte right now. That Senator is my grail watch and I'm thinking hard about pulling trigger on the Seventies Panorama.TheOC16 said:
You cheated too, two Glashutte. Great brand, but interesting that that's the one you double up on.
Beautiful and comfortably eccentric collection though.

From a value perspective we should all choose the Daytona.TheOC16 said:
Wow, so far 75% of the responses have the Speedy as their chronograph (well, if you count the one preference for the plastic version...). No Daytonas. Wouldn't have guessed that.
(Also I'm realizing there's more of y'all who duplicated brands. I really figured Aggie reading comprehension would be a bit better than this.)
Why does that matter? Isn't this supposed to be our list, not the most expensive list?Serotonin said:From a value perspective we should all choose the Daytona.TheOC16 said:

But I love the look of the Speedy, and it seems like more of a watch nerd piece.
You could create an entire list of Rolexes just based on hype and secondary market price but I chose the Explorer because it's the least hyped and if it's good enough for Roger W Smith then it's good enough for my list.
For a value chronograph, I'd strongly consider the Bulova Lunar Pilot.Serotonin said:From a value perspective we should all choose the Daytona.TheOC16 said:

Jesus you're high strung. He didn't choose the most expensive.

Alright guys, we need a topic in here so that I have a reason to check TexAgs. Lets go - here's the game:
You get to build a hypothetical watch collection, use whatever budget you want. You can use your realistic budget, a goal budget, or just blow it out and use Sea Speed's budget. You have to fill each one of the below categories, but you cannot duplicate brands.
Time Only (No Date)
Dive
Field or Pilot
Chronograph
High Complication (tourbillion, moon phase, perpetual/annual calendar, minute repeater, etc.)
Free Space (cannot be a watch that would fit into one of the previous categories, other than Time Only)
Cartier extra flat wg
Sinn T1 or iwc porsche design ocean 2000
Patek aquanaut 5168G-010 (wg)
Meh, moonswatch i guess? (All 10)
Jlc moonphase ultra thin
Jlc polaris
