I told my wife when I left that I may end up buying a watch if she didn't go with me. She said "happy Father's Day I guess". She was not expecting me to come home with one. Def an impulse buy.

So I'm not sure how this happened but I was able to buy the new Breitling Ice Blue super Chrono. I had liked the earlier ice blue one that someone else got but thought at 42mm it would be a little small.

I was checking the Breitling site when I posted the new superocean, and when I refreshed "pre-order" changed to "add to cart"

So I did and I bought it, and it immediately changed back to pre-order.

I got the shipping confirmation today though so we will see what happens

I paused at the same point...when the hell did 42mm become 'a little small'?

I can't ever remember looking down at my 42mm X-33 or SKX009 and wishing they were bigger...but I guess that's why they make 31-flavors.

That's a good looking watch but I'd always be afraid of that ice blue not aging well...kinda like my ice blue tuxedo in my prom pics :-)

This one feels special. The platinum if the bezel plate really glows, and the light blue is beautiful. I also really like the deployment strap. Only downside is the clasp is very plain, just a standard small tang style chrome Breitling buckle.

I pulled the trigger on this vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic.
Fell in love with the hour markers and the way the case covers the spring bars. Kind of makes the dial the star of the show.

And by the way, for those that don't speak Dutch, happy woensdag on this 6th of juli.
