As a kid growing up overseas in the 80's, I remember the Rado Diastar commercials and that british/asian voice.

Every time I see or hear Rado, I say "Rado Diastar" in that distinctive voice in my head. I think that same guy voiced "Mentos...the fresh maker" because it sounds exactly the same in my head almost 40 years later...

Guess I was raised to not be a jerk to random people. Several said it's not their cup of tea and there's nothing wrong with that. Didn't think everyone would love it, but wanted to share. Just don't get the need to be rude to people, but you do you.

Dude, settle down. You posted a picture on a thread with lots of watch enthusiasts of your friend's Rolex that had been after-marketed murdered out. Not sure what you expected, but the response is 100% what I expected. Your friend obviously has the right to take an awesome watch and make it ******y, but neither he nor you should be surprised when he gets called a ****** for doing so.

You're just proving my point. I'm far from a watch enthusiast so I had no idea it was "murdered out". I shared something I thought was kind of cool looking, that's all. That Woodpecker Green Sortis is hideous.

On the subject of blackwatches, my first real watch was an all black Seiko that my dad found on the floor in the Country Tavern in Kilgore. He turned it in and no one claimed it so it became mine. I think it had a square face.

Love the grey one! I've never heard of Fortis, but that grey dial on the rubber strap may scratch an itch for a casual pool/beach watch I've been looking for. Unfortunately their website seems to indicate the only ADs are in CA or NY and I'm not sure I'd buy a lower tier brand I've never heard of without seeing it in person.

I have bought several Orient watches from Amazon and used their insane free return policy to essentially get a 30 day trial of the watch and then return it.

They do have one dive watch that is pretty maroon - not quite Aggie maroon, but passable. I only used your middle link and am unfamiliar with those.
