Those are all custom. It voids the Rolex warranty and any future servicing by Rolex as I understand it.

If I were going to black out any Rolex it would be a Sub just because it gives off the ultimate tool watch vibe. So the aesthetic can work better there.

The Milgauss is more of an eccentric/fun/nerdy (and I mean that in a good way) professional watch so I don't think the blacked out tactical military vibe fits as well.

Yeah I can't imagine the amount of money I'd have to have to where customizing watches became desirable.

But even if I was - that wouldn't be the watch. Maybe it looks different in person, but from that photo it looks like the dark case and bracelet take away all the pop the Milgauss once had in the dial and hands.

*Edit to add: All that to say, if that's the look he was hoping to achieve, then that's a cool unique piece for him. Thanks for sharing.

It's pretty permanent. Obviously banging it around will knick of the PVD. I believe if you want to get rid of it you have to sandblast it off

The new Seiko 5 GMTs do look really sharp. I've had my eye on a Prospex GMT that is similar to the one with the Batman bezel. Might have to go with the cheaper alternative as a travel watch.

I think it's bad ass but none of these guys like my taste in watches either (but that's ok because they wear pepsi dive watches with suits). The milgauss is kinda quirky in the first place, pvd/dlc makes it even more interesting. Black and green look awesome together, and for those worrying it will scratch, dlc is several times harder than ssand super slick, so it is way less likely to scratch than ss (though you can't polish it out when it does)
