Speaking of Tiffany Blue, who's bidding?

I think they just say that because retail is $53k, but this one is definitely going well in to the six figures.

So it says the other 169 are going to be sold at Tiffany flagships. I'm not asking this because I think I hqve a chance or anything, but do the Tiffany's operate like all the ADs we are familiar with, i.e. they will go to a big spender that that particular store is familiar with?

7 figures I already know buyers past 1 million

There are three Tiffany's boutiques that have them available in NY, LA, and SF. I don't know if those individual stores have full autonomy or if corporate is involved in buyer selection, but yes it's only going to be offered to their 169 best/favorite clients

Not just any watch. A steel watch…

Not Houston related BUT I was at Bachendorf's in the Galleria in Dallas today. They had a Submariner. A Sea Dweller, a Milgauss, an Explorer 2, an Explorer 1, a stainless SkyDweller in blue, a 2 tone Daytona, a Yachtmaster, several DateJust, a few OPs and some others. I was flabbergasted, until I saw the tiny green signs (about 1"x1") that said "exhibition only". They had about 20 watches and literally not one could be purchased. Not even a ladies' datejust. What a time to be alive

I've seen that at various ADs for about a year now.

They've been told that they are going to have to have 16 pieces at all times on hand to show to potential clients. It'll be part of the new business model apparently.

That sounds about right. I'd say they had somewhere in the ballpark of 16-20 watches. Shame the business model doesn't allow for any BUYING of the watches FFS!

The exhibition models do not have movements in them anyway.

They can either have cheap exhibition models on display without movements or nothing on display.

Which option do you prefer?

We were playing with the date functions on the skydweller. Could we do that if the movement isn't in the watch ? Serious question

But, that would explain why they can't sell them

They are a good watchmaker and a price under $4k is great for the watch above.

I'm just not a huge fan of the Bauhaus look.
