Very cool and fairly unique Chrono feature. Yes that's the power reserve, 70ish hours which is really nice.

Edit: It's an hour counter.
"The 30-minute counter is positioned at 3 o'clock and the 12-hour counter is visible in the aperture at 12 o'clock."

Life goals here. Buying 5 figure watch without knowing what/how the features work.Joe Boudain said:Octavarium said:
Btw how does the chrono display work? What's the top numeral indicator?
I hate to say it I have no clue and the manual didn't say much. Also not certain what the gauge does in the seconds counter that slowly fills either. Maybe a power reserve?

Haha, well that could have been a lifesaver. Did you ever time a regatta start with your YM2? Kidding aside that is probably the most unique complication Rolex has.

When I'm months In to a work trip and every day is the exact same I wear my skx 007 just so I know what day it is. Maybe I I need to start looking at day/dates.

I was going to mention it. I watched a YouTube on how to do it and still don't understand

I couldn't wear a watch without the date. I sign my name so many times a day at work and whether habit or necessity, I look at my watch EVERY TIME I sign my name. I signed 7 purchase authorizations back to back today and I swear I looked at it every time. I reckon there is a little bit of both habit and necessity.

I don't think I've ever owned a watch with a date window. I wear this cheap Steinhart 97% of the time. And very bizarrely I look at my wrist several times a week when I'm trying to think of the day or th date.

This is my favorite true sports day date imo. Time for an upgrade?
