Sip game day watch.

That's a no from me.

That's nowhere near burnt orange. Put a navy leather strap on it and it's a great Astros watch.

My first thought was that it would be a good Denver Broncos game day watch. Bonus if you are both Astros and a Broncos fan. Could work since Houston no longer has an NFL franchise so you could divert your allegiance to Denver.

Or Florida. Or Boise State. Or NY Mets. Or Auburn. Or Syracuse. There are options.

Oh yeah I agree completely. For my personal collection, resale is not a factor other than deciding to buy used or not, I'm not going to sell either way.

However, I did think it would have had a slight impact on the broader market.

I've convinced my wife that watches should be viewed as a cash alternative, so I'm not really spending the total purchase price when I buy a watch. Also, I mostly buy used on watches that trade at a discount to MSRP and have sold a few to fund new purchases. None of them hold any sentimental value to me other than a Hamilton my wife bought for me when $600 for a watch was a lot of money.

Respect for using girl math against her.

If anything the fact Rolex is most the most faked watch just means it has broad appeal and more people who desire a real one. I thought the moonswatch would make the speedmaster professional tank in value but if anything it has only increased the value because more people are aware of it now. AP isn't hurting for new customers right now, but their swarch collab (as bad as it was) brought the brand into the sphere of an entirely new generation of potential customers.

Had to share this one I got in today. Ultra rare 18038 with burlwood dial. Check out the detail. These were super hard to make as they are very thin/easy to crack. Also not many passed the quality inspections as they had to have unique wood patterns in them.

It's been talked about a lot on here but the Omega/Swatch think has been brilliant marketing. It's a gateway watch and I'm betting a rather large number of those buyers who see it as their first "nice" watch and will probably think Omega when they buy a truly nice watch.

But don't smell it, because it has enough cocaine residue on it to kill a hippo

My buddy got the call from the AD this week to pick up a matching VC. Bad lighting but they're both the blue dial. He had been on the list for 3 years.
