These $200 and $300 mass produced crap isn't high end.

forgot to post this pic last week. Another successful TexAgs hookup. Bought this from an Ag (who bought it from FTAC) and gave it to my wife. She's loving it.

Was going to say, you have very dainty bone structure

To me it seems that the since removed OP asking where to find high end watches in Houston has been answered many times over. The thread has been derailed (in my opinion positively derailed, and I assume the opinion of most still here) into more of a "Watch Enthusiasts" discussion.
If it's the opinion of most or of moderators that this thread should be limited to the original intent of simply locating high end watches in Houston, then I understand that. But I for one am in favor of letting this now near 7K post thread evolve into a general watch enthusiasm thread, which will occasionally include discussion of some sub $1K pieces.
Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to TheOC16 for clearly stating what needed to be said. I'm particularly glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.TheOC16 said:

Sorry man, I found an incredible watch at a great value that I'd love to share with the group but it's $50 below the minimum price threshold for the thread so I can't post it.TheOC16 said:

Ah, good. Farmer is back telling us what to like and how to wear it.
So, let's stop talking about $200 Seiko's. (Ironic those are blue starred posts on the same page.)

You're allowed to like whatever crap you want. I don't care how bad your taste is. Just stop flooding a perfectly average thread with cheap stuff.

So, do we disregard the title or start a new damn thread? I vote disregard the title and make this a watch chat.
I was actually thinking about a "what next for the collection" post, and maybe even Farmer would have some input.

Hate to say it about a fellow Ag but you are the definition of insufferable.
It's his thing. He's just trolling or looking for attentionTP Ag '87 said:

Are you trying to say a timepiece with a tourbillon is not better than these Siekos?
I was just about to post that oddly I actually enjoy his belligerence. An epic thread needs a villain and I think he plays the part well.Charismatic Megafauna said:
I feel like farmer's jabs at us paupers are mostly tongue in cheek and i enjoy his posts from that perspective.
Okay but counterpoint - what is the value with the Seiko? Is it really timekeeping? You've already got that built into your phone.AgLA06 said:Value compared to what you pay?Farmer1906 said:

Probably not.

All this Seiko talk…….ordered a SRPD69 a couple days ago and was able to snag it for $200. It's simply amazing and has a nice weight and feel to it.
I know what I'm rocking on game days.

I, for one, appreciate you posting this watch, no matter the cost or "high endness." I grabbed one as well because of this thread. Never been a watch guy before (except for an Apple Watch), but appreciate what this thread has taught me and I may have caught the bug now.
Sent you a PM.MarathonAg12 said:spadilly said:MarathonAg12 said:

Thanks man. I was recently brought into it.
I spend too much money on high end bourbon. I don't have the cash flow to have nice bourbon and luxury watches.
My Omega SeaMaster and Seikos will tide me over just fine. If you ever need some BTAC, EHTBP, Weller Line ups and other brown water, send me a PM.
