This is by far the better looking green chrono. Now if only they were the same price.

I think there were 22 green watches and I don't own a Breitling. Just not a 007 super fan and it gets old.

The Air-King and Milgauss are widely perceived to be on the brink of discontinuation or renewal. Due to the length of time both models have managed to cling onto their position within Rolex's catalogue, it is unlikely they will be discontinued in their entirety. They will probably be redesigned from top to bottom.

Following the 36mm Explorer's launch last year, it is likely that Rolex is seeking to cast an eye on previous models and variants as a source of inspiration for novelties. An Air-King with a 3-6-9 dial layout and bright colour options is plausible, given its historical significance in the Air-King collection. So too is the option of a 34mm variant, which remained in the Air-King's arsenal for years. Of course, the movement will also be changed to that in the Explorer, the cal. 3230.

The Milgauss may well be updated, given its link to the failed world land speed record project, Bloodhound LSR. A move back to the Milgauss' roots is probably in order with a new, more anti-magnetic movement and fresh dial options. A new case design is also a possibility.
https://www.t3.com/news/rolex-expert-makes-predictions-for-watches-and-wonders-2022
I always thought the Air King was more closely linked to the Project Bloodhound thing than the Milgauss. The Air King's dial is basically an exact replica of the Bloodhound gauges aside from the leftover 3-6-9 from the Explorer.
That is a confusing and possibly inaccurate statement by the author. Apparently, Rolex made some dial layouts as part of that Bloodhound quest. Those layouts later became the inspiration for the latest Air King model. The latest Air King model uses the case from the Milgauss.

So, author seems to have cut some corners in his reporting and associated the Milgauss to Bloodhound when it shouldn't be. Frankly, it doesn't even make sense that the Milgauss would be associated with the Bloodhound effort if we are using watches themed and built for certain past times.

That comment jumped out at me when I read it because the Milgauss roots have nothing at all do with racing and land speed records.

Breitling just announced their new Navitimer for its 70th anniversary with a ton of size, color, and strap/bracelet options.

46mm is way too big for me, but the 41mm mint green on a brown strap looks sexy. I also like the ice blue on black or stainless but 43mm plus pushers is probably bigger than I personally care for.

I've been following this thread for quite a while as it seems the watch market is going crazy these days.

Breitling is killing it recently. Georges Kern and a new investment partner seem to have them back on the right track finally. New Navitimer is great. The new Superocean is a killer deal for the price. The Top Time releases with the Triumph, car manufacturer collaborations, and Top Time Deus.

For all the alleged "copying" Omega has some really nice new releases as well. The new ATs are better looking than the Rolex OP, imo. Globemaster Annual Calendar is an amazing value. The new colorways on the Seamaster and Speedmasters are great looking.

Anyone into independent brands? There have been some exciting new releases from some independents with Watches & Wonders coming up.

Peter Speake-Marin new Ridges sports watch, New Moser Skeleton Dial Endeavour, Armin Strom, Czapek new Rattrapante colorway. Moser's new lime-green hammered enamel dial (which can be picked up much cheaper from anOrdain )

Overall, pretty exciting stuff recently. The Rolex OP releases seem to have really generated a lot of new colorways from a lot of different brands. Will be very interesting to see what is in store later this week at W&W.

My Rolex AD just texted me from the airport on his way to Geneva and told me to let him know if I was interested in any of the new ones coming out tonight, said it's a good way to jump the line.

I think the most effective way to jump the line is having the kind of relationship with your AD where they text you as they board a plane to Geneva…

Love Czapek pieces and the way you can order them semi customized. I really wanted an all alloy Antarctique Terre Adlie but they are long sold out.

A friend posted a picture today of their new release and it looks amazing. Orders open and close April 2nd if anyone is interested!

Yeah, that new Rattrapante is awesome. The original was fantastic and this is even better. April 2nd. Gotta remember that. Maybe I'll get lucky - or unlucky if you ask my wife.

There are some Terra Adele's available online, but damn expensive and I'm never quite sure they actually have them or just trying to draw people in. The Antarctique is listing at over $35-40k now on Chrono24. Obviously not a true indicator of what they are selling for, but I bet its over $30k even for the base black and whites. None on ebay or Watchrecon that I've seen.

The light blue is special. The salmon may be even better.

Speaking of the customization, that's what I really love about independent brands. It's cool to be able to get something a little different. Czapek is limited, but some will actually with you to basically design your own piece with different materials, finishes, guilloche patterns, engraving, etc.Pretty amazing. True unique pieces.

If you like the lime green Endeavour, but don't want to pay 20k, check out anOrdain. They have something very similar for about 1/10th the price.

Turquoise OP41 and OP36 are about to skyrocket in value.

It just looks so jarring to me, the whole left-handed thing. I am a lefty and wear my watch on my left wrist so I'm just a basketful of contradictions though.

Agree, it will be interesting to see if that impact the gray market price.

I do like the update to the Air King. That was about the only Rolex offering that interested me.

The Tudor Black Bay Pro looks pretty sweet. A 39 mm case, GMT and date.

And does the new 36 do away with the crown tube? That's about the only thing I don't like about my 36.

On order on scheduled for delivery sometime between April and June. Kind of wish I had gotten the green now.

The new Model 3 case looks pretty awesome. I'm hoping to get one of those at some point but they are so logjammed with orders it will likely be tough to get.

Anyone have an idea of price on the model 1 fume' ?

Here is what has caught my eye so far.

I want this...

This is a nice addition for Tudor.

And there is another Monaco Gulf Special Edition. I believe with the in-house movement for the first time.

Depends on the movement you select. I think hand wound is around $1250 and goes up to about $2200 for one of the higher end automatic movements. That was as of when I ordered back in January/February. With the increased demand recently, as well as a new Model 3 coming out, prices may be going up. Not sure though. I want a Model 3 and kind of wish I had waited on my order - really great looking case. Not sure if previous owners have an opportunity to get prioritized on the new Model 3 release.

These smaller (and even larger) independent brands are having trouble keeping up with demand lately and there isn't a good system for meeting the demand unfortunately. I would get an anOrdain sooner rather than later though because the prices will be increasing. I've seen quite a few of the smaller independents go up dramatically in price over the last 2 years.

I'm a buyer at those prices. I went ahead and put my name on the waitlist, but they say that it could be two years long.

Maybe I'll get an email in about two years from some company that I forgot that I never heard of wanting to sell me a watch.

Of the Rolex lineup, I really only like the Milgauss (which I own), the new Air King, and that baby blue Day-Date 40 I would wear if simply so I could know what DoW it is. Because I can never remember. Lol.

I'm really digging that Air King. Probably because it shares the same case with Milgauss.

edit: I would wear the Daytona if you forced me too.
