This is by far the better looking green chrono. Now if only they were the same price.

You must be a Breitling super fan or something.
That is a confusing and possibly inaccurate statement by the author. Apparently, Rolex made some dial layouts as part of that Bloodhound quest. Those layouts later became the inspiration for the latest Air King model. The latest Air King model uses the case from the Milgauss.bthotugigem05 said:I always thought the Air King was more closely linked to the Project Bloodhound thing than the Milgauss. The Air King's dial is basically an exact replica of the Bloodhound gauges aside from the leftover 3-6-9 from the Explorer.Serotonin said:https://www.t3.com/news/rolex-expert-makes-predictions-for-watches-and-wonders-2022Quote:
The Air-King and Milgauss are widely perceived to be on the brink of discontinuation or renewal. Due to the length of time both models have managed to cling onto their position within Rolex's catalogue, it is unlikely they will be discontinued in their entirety. They will probably be redesigned from top to bottom.
Following the 36mm Explorer's launch last year, it is likely that Rolex is seeking to cast an eye on previous models and variants as a source of inspiration for novelties. An Air-King with a 3-6-9 dial layout and bright colour options is plausible, given its historical significance in the Air-King collection. So too is the option of a 34mm variant, which remained in the Air-King's arsenal for years. Of course, the movement will also be changed to that in the Explorer, the cal. 3230.
The Milgauss may well be updated, given its link to the failed world land speed record project, Bloodhound LSR. A move back to the Milgauss' roots is probably in order with a new, more anti-magnetic movement and fresh dial options. A new case design is also a possibility.

Beautiful. Any reason you seem to be getting sea dwellers instead of Subs?
I've been following this thread for quite a while as it seems the watch market is going crazy these days.FTAco07 said:
Breitling just announced their new Navitimer for its 70th anniversary with a ton of size, color, and strap/bracelet options.
46mm is way too big for me, but the 41mm mint green on a brown strap looks sexy. I also like the ice blue on black or stainless but 43mm plus pushers is probably bigger than I personally care for.

My Rolex AD just texted me from the airport on his way to Geneva and told me to let him know if I was interested in any of the new ones coming out tonight, said it's a good way to jump the line.
Speaking of the customization, that's what I really love about independent brands. It's cool to be able to get something a little different. Czapek is limited, but some will actually with you to basically design your own piece with different materials, finishes, guilloche patterns, engraving, etc.Pretty amazing. True unique pieces.FTAco07 said:
Love Czapek pieces and the way you can order them semi customized. I really wanted an all alloy Antarctique Terre Adlie but they are long sold out.
A friend posted a picture today of their new release and it looks amazing. Orders open and close April 2nd if anyone is interested!

I think the black/green GMT is pretty slick.

It just looks so jarring to me, the whole left-handed thing. I am a lefty and wear my watch on my left wrist so I'm just a basketful of contradictions though.
On order on scheduled for delivery sometime between April and June. Kind of wish I had gotten the green now.schmendeler said:
