It's really a waste when you consider that you only need the second stadium for non-district games, which with 7 high schools would amount to 3 weeks a year.
In the other weeks of the season, the Katy ISD teams would all be playing each other, and there would be 3 district games, and the seventh team playing someone else from the district, on the road, or having a bye.
That way, you could do Thurs, Fri, Sat or Fri, and Sat double header with no problems.
Katy ISD already made one huge error in building sports facilities when they built their special events center, named after the then-current sueprintendent, and then realized that none of their basketball/volleyball teams wanted to play there because 1) it cost them homecourt advantage and 2) it severely diluted attendance because of its distance from any school but Katy High.
