Does anyone outside of Katy HS fill up a stadium.

Pearland? They did go to state this past year...

The new Katy stadium location was a joke. Adjacent to the current one. That was laughable..

It's really a waste when you consider that you only need the second stadium for non-district games, which with 7 high schools would amount to 3 weeks a year.

In the other weeks of the season, the Katy ISD teams would all be playing each other, and there would be 3 district games, and the seventh team playing someone else from the district, on the road, or having a bye.

That way, you could do Thurs, Fri, Sat or Fri, and Sat double header with no problems.

Katy ISD already made one huge error in building sports facilities when they built their special events center, named after the then-current sueprintendent, and then realized that none of their basketball/volleyball teams wanted to play there because 1) it cost them homecourt advantage and 2) it severely diluted attendance because of its distance from any school but Katy High.

But they host the Southland conference tournament so there is that.

I thought the main purpose of the arena was for graduation and job fairs? Not that it wasnt wasteful spending but it sure was nice to not have to drive to Reliant Arena on a friday evening for my siblings' graduations.

That event center is constantly having events, like every weekend.
