I picked up 2 tickets in 102, row G.

Arcade Fire and Explosions on the 4th, then Jimmy Buffett the next day.

No problem.

For those interested, the shipping on my tickets was $8.95.

Also, I watched the presale for the Dallas show and it took about 2 1/2 hours to sell out if you are trying to decide.

it can be as far as sound. if the stage is wide, and you're right up front, you can't hear the speakers, cause they are 50' to your left and right, so all you hear is stage noise, which is everything but.... vocals.

i see in jetchs pic, they have on stage monitors turned around to the crowd. that is the reason for this, so those right up front can hear the vocals. I've been in the pit in the woodlands about 6 times, and about half of those they didn't do this, and it was about the worst sound I've ever heard at a show. You have a wall of marshall amps 20' in front of you cranked to 11. that's about all you hear.
Now, are you close with the best view in the house? yeh, but even just 20' back, like in the first couple of seated rows, you pretty much have the same view (sometimes better, cause now you can see over the pits head) but all of a sudden you're in the line of sound from the main speakers, so the sound is good.
In my experience, the best seat in the house is about 5-10 rows back. it's a compromise of being by the sound guy (the best sound in the house), and being at the edge of the stage (the best view)

Good points 62strat. Also I have been to places where the stage is too high, so if you are right in front of the stage then you can't see the drummer clearly and the view sucks.

I am looking forward to my first PIT expierance at the Woodlands though, and like I said, if I don't like it during EITS then I can sneak backwards and find a seat for Arcade Fire.

Just got 2 in 103. 101 and 102 are at single tickets only already.

Had 2 in 102 in my Cart, but our damn office computers needed a Flash update and I couldn't click on the Buy button. Had to do 95 on 610 West back home just to get 2 tickets in 103 (row L, blah). ****in' pissed.

this turned out to be a pretty big event, I thought it was just gonna be local bands..

kinda bummed my band didn't get a slot on the verizon stage, we play with demtris rail quite a bit, pretty good friends with Paul... oh well, hopefully bayou place stage is decent size.

Fair to Midland concert at Warehouse Live is cancelled tomorrow night.

Periphery is playing a FREE show however tomorrow night as a result. bad ace.

I think I missed it. I might have to book my trip to Europe around one of their shows in either Portugal or Spain.

DOWN kicked major ass as usual, great show albeit ridiculously loud and so-so sound (unfortunately more often than not the case at Warehouse). Part of that is just how loud Pepper and Kirk turn their amps up. Regardless, it was a badass show, my only complaint is not really getting anything off of "Over The Under." Played lots of I and II stuff (Eyes of the South, Losing All, Ghosts Along the Miss, Lifer, Bury Me In Smoke, etc). Here's a pic of Phil and Pepper:
