I tried to give the Sweet Spot a chance by listening to a couple of their segments whenever they'd make the Top 10. But man…the way Mino starts a sentence and then stops halfway through to inject a drawn-out "buuuuuuuttt" to give him time to think of what to say next just makes it unlistenable to me. I wish they'd just put Monty's news segment in the Top 10 every day instead.

Cannot believe it took them this long to point this out to him. I wrote the post I'm quoting back in March.
Who's to say how long someone needs to be ready to talk publicly about this possible scenario? Whatever it is, he knows he has to jump right into it when he returns. If it's a separation or impending divorce he has to thread lightly or say nothing at all. He's scheduled to come back Monday, but they've hedged it a bit.
And what's so crucial about now for DZ? They've made some moves to increase revenue and seem to be continuing to gain audience. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I listened to about 45 minutes of it at lunch -- he was very upfront about it, and spent time discussing the process, why he went (alcohol), etc. Sounds like they devoted most of the show to it. Jake said he and his wife both came to the decision that it was time, though his wife might have had a BIT more influence. Seems to be in a good place now.

I listened to the first 60-75 minutes and heard him talk about it. I had noticed a few months ago that he had gained weight and looked less healthy than a couple years ago. Now it makes sense. Sounds like he's in a much better place now...and has a ton of material for more content/segments.
I don't listen/watch the DZ but from what I'd seen of him on social media lately, I definitely noticed the weight gain/looking more puffy than he used to.

Gordo seems to be down to about 4 segments a day, 5 if hes guesting non-hardline, 6 if hardline. Dude has an amazing job.
*Im not saying anything about his abilities. The 8:40 segment is gold 4 out 5 days a week. The 7 hour segment and corner are all great.im just saying of the first tier, he probably has it easiest. And bob has it hardest but he probably enjoys carrying then sports talk. Though I'll give snake credit, after Dave's joined, he's tried to put a lot more into the sports segments.

I believe they have won Sports Station of the Year before but not this one

I used to be impressed when I heard of a Marconi, but if this version of the station won and the days of Donnie and Sirois and the Hang Zone didn't. Really makes me reevaluate

Danny could talk football, was a savant with music topics, and provided a more tempered comic relief tandem with Corby, not just queef and dick jokes. And they actually were close friends with chemistry, not the forced tangential relationship of 5.0

Just don't get it, once the Musers sign off in the morning The Ticket has become a bag of nothing. Probably speaks more to how bad radio in general is these days.

Lololol Danny could talk football? You must be friends with him. Davey isn't great at football talk but he's much better than Danny. Danny has the sports brain of an 8 year old and didn't even bother to watch most games.
Danny with comic relief? Give me a break. He literally only did fart songs and fart jokes that a third grader could make. Davey at least makes me chuckle sometimes with some good one liners. He's not great but he's better than Danny.
The dumb zone made him a regular bc Jake was in rehab. It's a mistake if they keep him on a permanent basis.
