They said they reached out to A&M for the first interview before Notre dame. But this time they said A&M actually reached out to them (likely bc the game is in Dallas). So bob was happy bc it probably meant that elko enjoyed the first interview. And I didn't even think about coaches night but I bet you're right. That probably helped a lot as well.

Mental health - the last year has been tough - cumulus suit, going out on your own, several hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, growth/expansion of "no puppet", renovating your house and moving to a rental, daughter on the spectrum, son is a Tasmanian devil (his words), sons health issues, etc. Not difficult to see how thst much could take a toll on someone. He's mentioned that's he a frequent participant in therapy, wouldn't be shocked if all that took its toll and he recognized he needed a break and help.
Pete Rose, Deke and Kristoffer son is a heck on an apartment.
Jub this morning talked about one of his sons who graduated from Arkansas but has completely abandoned them to full on root for Texas. Hard to respect someone who does such a thing.

He should definitely not be supporting a team other than his alma mater but Arkansas and Texas really aren't rivals in any sense of the word any more. Yes, I know the history. But that is ancient history at this point. Anyone born in the 90s or later has absolutely no concept of a Horns-Pigs rivalry
Jake's issue is almost for sure mental health with possible added withdrawal issues from pills. There were at least 2 episodes of The Dumb Zone in the last year where he was noticeably slurring and not making a lot of sense.

I get it, Dan has that shtick but Jake's seemed real. All that's happened in the last year + and his self admitted hot-headed nature seems like he hasn't handled it well.
There was an episode a few months ago where his daughter and wife were on for the beginning of the 'sode'. The body language and good bye seemed forced and tense. He loosened up considerably after they left.
I hope that's not the case because he won't do well as a single man again.

It is only 30 minutes. Segments pulled from the radio show. I watched the first but haven't tuned back in so it may have changed in the month since then.

They do some editing if a segment is worthy but has cussing or racy talk. They pick good content like DeeZ Picks with Sirois
when was jake's last show? hadn't considered a 30 day rehab scenario but whoever said he was pilled up a couple times (at least) was 100% right.
i was thinking the most likely scenario was some kind of health issue with one of his kids.
i am sure he's under a ton of stress, they joke about how they're not making any money but there's an undertone of desperation to it sometimes that is a little unsettling.
