Some quick math: 6100 at $6.90 (nice) a pop is $42k a month - I think Patreon takes around 20% of this so let's call it $34k after that. If you conservatively take out 25% of that for taxes you are left with 25 grand a month which is $300,000 annually to pay themselves, Blake, and whatever costs they might have with equipment and whatnot. they alluded to their attorney costs a couple weeks ago. i think it was in excess of 200k (and that's probably way low...)

Is dumb zone worth it? $6.90 (nice) a month isn't a big deal, but just wanna make sure it's worth listening when they drop stuff.

They have a free two week trial right now. Also have free episodes. I just listened to one of their free ones. I'm undecided if I'll sign up.
I signed up late August and enjoyed going back and catching up with their legal battle. It's good content, a lot like Hang Zone, with some good guests and some not as good (Chappy).
Episodes typically drop between 2:00-3:00 each day, and I can usually get an hour of it on the commute home, then catch the rest during the mornings between Musers and meetings.
If they're smart, they'll go every day during dry dock. Monty and DJ are okay fill-ins, but whoever this Travis guy is filling in for Donovan and whatever bunch of 3rd and 4th tier talent they're going to be throwing out for the next 3 weeks is to be unlistenable.

I'm a Day 1 DF and I really enjoy it. I do have to listen on 1.5x speed to keep up with how much content they generate because I only really listen while driving. 2 week free trial during dry dock is smart on their part IMO. Give it a shot, nothing to lose.

I believe you have to create an account, including giving a credit card number, and it just won't charge until after two weeks. Can you go back to previous weeks of shows? Some real gold back there, see if you can find Blake reading Dwight Howard text messages.
^ can go back but didn't get any clue on which episode from the show notes. (The timestamps do make it easy to avoid the chappy segments. never understood the appeal.)
