in all honesty, I had a dream last night where Greggo had reappeared. He was a little disheveled. I shook his hand and told him how great it was to see him back. He kind of sheepishly smiled and said thanks. This was before I read the thread this morning about Monday or cocaine. I've been known to dream things in advance quite a bit. Most of my life is deja vu. I doubt that I'll be meeting Greg anytime soon, but maybe it was a teaser of things to come.

I wasn't listening yesterday. Was the Hardline in? Were they freaking out over the upset?

Who's ready for the, "Coach Fran didn't listen to the ticket.

Got to think the big announcement comes today. Got to. One way or the other.

actually, i bet Greggo doesn't make a return until midweek when there are less sports to discuss... perhaps a tuesday or wednesday. Because you know that as soon as he hits a microphone that the P1 will be going nuts, like the Beatles on Sullivan.

No Greggo so far. They took a call from a woman asking where Greggo was during WTDS and they just laughed.

Mike just talked about it. He said now that "it's out there" they could talk about it, but they are going to wait until they have something definitive before they discuss the whole thing.

So it looks like there has not been a final decision on his return to the show.

Did anybody else read into Mike's comment of "we're going to focus on what's ahead of us, not what's behind us" that there's a really good chance Greggo's not coming back?

I heard that comment and, to me, it came across like Greggo would not be back. We'll see.

If he referred to it as "The Hardline" without the presence of the hammer, that's (to me) a pretty definitive statement that Greggo's gonzo.

when I heard him refer to the Hardline I thought Greggo WAS going to be there. I was shocked that he wasn't.

guys, I think I'll have to lay low for a while. Sturm just referenced texags.com and probably due to this thread. I probably shouldn't be associated with this topic any more than necessary.

Mike again said earlier that they are still waiting to talk about the situation and the future of the show. However, he did add that early next week would probably be the earliest they will be able to discuss it.

correction. He said LATE next week would be the earliest they'd probably be able to say anything. He also said that you'd be stunned to know the legal ramifications surrounding this whole situation... he himself was taken aback. He did say that "it's all out there already, we just can't talk about it yet". I hope this is more due to personal things than Greggo being busted by the cops or something.

my bad. i thought he said early next week. either way, we'll find out their take on things eventually.

I think he is coming back.
I do not think that they can fire him as drug use is covered as an "illness". We had a girl at my previous job that sued over being fired since they let her go do to "drug abuse" showing up late, ect. They settled out of court.

Settled out of court doesn't mean the company necessarily did anything wrong, it often means the company didn't feel the legal fees and amount in controversy justified fighting out the dispute.

i personally believe he was using coke while on the air. if that can't get you fired i'm not sure what can.

Man there are a lot of P1s on here. Did not realize that.

Now that I think about it, for about the last 6 months he was on the show, he always sounded congested. That's one of the signs of cocaine usage.

I agree that he did sound congested the last several months. Legally, would it really make a difference whether or not he's actually snorting it on the air? I mean, wouldn't just being under the influence at work be enough to fire someone? I know if I failed a drug test at work I'd be gone right away, regardless of when I smoked/snorted/injected/whatever.

They do have drug tests there.

what kind of test? At all the companies I have worked at the drug test was just a pre-screen but after that you never had one, not that it would have mattered to me.

Dunno...they were talking about it the other day.

They do standard urine drug tests. Corby and Deep Dish Danny were talking about it this week.
