Yep, I moved my sprinklers from 4 days a week to daily and while I haven't seen any improvement, the green areas are at least staying green. The full sun areas are getting roasted.

My St. Augustine is still green with just twice a week watering (but you better believe I water the crap out of it on those two days, early AM and again after the sun goes down).

All of my neighbors water just as much or more than I do (including on restricted days), and their stuff is mostly brown. Their issue? They mow way too low. Like nearly scalping level. Gotta run the mower at the highest setting in this kind of heat for StA.

I agree with this. Neil Sperry insists that mowing height doesn't matter when it comes to drought tolerance but anecdotally I disagree

I definitely screwed up back in early August and forgot to raise my mower setting. Realized it after 2 passes and adjusted. Those two shorter passes are still brown.

Not a damn thing at my house.

Mansfield soccer association cancelled practices last night because of the lightning in New Mexico. Cancelled again tonight...did it really rain that much?

We got solid rain for probably 45 minutes with a lot of thunder and lightning. Several areas have damage with power poles and trees down on Cooper as well as Cannon near Broad St. Had another less intense one blow through a bit later
