Hence why so many in Plano are opting to send their kids. No one learned anything in the spring. The only shot for any online learning to work is structured, live teaching with a real teacher. But to your point, this will absolutely screw over households with working parents.

I think some of the homes may be (some of the Richardson neighborhoods that are pisd) , but none of the actual schools. Could be wrong though.

My hope is that he will overrule and keep things on schedule. We don't need to put our kids behind and playing catch up the rest of their academic lives. We don't need kids finishing up high school at 19 & 20 because of missed years.

Denton postponed 2 weeks until the 26th. They put all the teacher "work" days in the beginning of the year instead of scattered throughout on random fridays or mondays. Also eliminated a couple of half days.

I like this approach and hopefully we're able to go in person on time.

This is exactly what I want an answer for because we all know Dora will follow in Houston. Even working from home I still have **** to do so trying to keep a kindergartener on task on a computer 4+ hours a day seems impossible.

i heard from someone who would know that in person school in the fall is very unlikely. they're not prepared, they don't feel anything will be different than it is now in 3 weeks or 6 weeks or 3 months. this person has been 100% right about everything north texas ISDs are going to do since march.

Not necessarily. The TEA is putting many schools in impossible positions. They want social distancing in schools where that is a physical impossibility.
