Ordered a box of 10 printer toner cartridges a couple of weeks ago and tracking showed delivered last Thursday. Of course not delivered. I emailed seller on Friday and they said it was delivered and to check all my doors and with my neighbors. I told them I did as your delivery person often delivers mail to the wrong address.

Monday I again emailed seller and they said it was delivered and that I have to filed a claim with the post office. I said per post office site it was their responsibility to track and file claim as seller as I don't have insurance info or the original mailing receipt.

From USPS site"

"Either the sender or the recipient may file a claim for insured mail that is lost, arrived damaged, or was missing contents. The person filing must have the original mailing receipt. Each claim must be filed within a certain time period and include proof of insurance, value, and damage."

They again just emailed back, it showed delivered. I said it wasn't and will work with credit card company to get charges reversed and also put negative reviews on them on every website I can find and do it a few dozen times.

They emailed back this morning that they will send me another shipment and please don't go through the charge reversal process. I emailed back and said I won't if I get the replacement toners within the next week. I also told them that if the original shipment shows up, I will gladly pay for them.

As the Zen Master said, "We'll see."

We've been told the local post office is begging for help. I sent someone looking for work to Bryan to apply. They were told they have to apply online. They went online and the application process had broken links and would not even allow them to fill out the application. I then helped them and tried to get to a point where they could apply directly for this area. The site said this area had no jobs available to apply for.

We tried about 10 different ways and it just became a boot loop.

My guess is there are tons of people in this community who would gladly accept the govt salary to help the cause if the cause could help those people more easily just sign up and get started working.

I really enjoy when I get a message that my package has been delivered by USPS, but the package is nowhere to be found. Even gives the location as front porch. Then 3 days later the delivery person walks to my door to deliver. Not sure if the driver actually just says it gets delivered or this is automatic, but such a broken system. I would have to believe a lot of vendors get calls that packages are lost due to this stupidity.

I came here looking to see if others were having this same problem. I have one that was "out for delivery" on the 2nd, and is now still "awaiting delivery" 4 days later. Here's hoping it turns up - it was an Amazon Black Friday purchase that of course isn't on sale anymore, so if it ends up going missing I guess I'm just SOL.

In the USPS FAQs, they told me to submit an inquiry, which I did last night. We'll see if that actually does anything.
Welp, here's my follow-up that y'all will find completely predictable.

Submitted an inquiry on the evening of Thursday the 5th. Got an email saying to expect a response within 1 business day. On Tuesday the 10th, the first follow-up email I got from them was a survey asking for feedback on the service I had received (LOL).

My package status still said "Awaiting Delivery" marked Dec 2nd, so I submitted whatever their next level inquiry was. Got an email saying it was "escalated". Uh huh, I'm sure it was.

Still hadn't heard anything by mid-day Wednesday, so I tried calling several different USPS phone numbers with no actual humans reached and no result - I even called the Bryan post office where the package was last scanned and it ring out for over 3 minutes with no answer. I was definitely not wasting my time going up there.

So I ultimately just called Amazon and asked them to cancel it and refund me. Then Amazon said they received an update on Dec 9th that the package had officially gone missing. So...Amazon gets that update and I don't? SURE WHY NOT. I won't be shocked at all if that package ends up at my doorstep next month and I have to then go stand in the UPS store line to return it.

GOOD TIMES!

The person who delivers out on W OSR is great! Few or no mistakes and a hard worker who might be getting a gift this year

The person who delivers to my business in CS, well packages go missing frequently although they make up for it by giving me other peoples deliveries so I guess it works out. Because of this, I require my clients to use Fedex, UPS or take their chances.

I wish I could say the same of the person that delivers off of OSR NE of 6. I see my mail maybe once or twice a week despite informed delivery showing mail daily. I also frequently have packages "delivered" that show up days later.

**** USPS. Got a package that they claim was delivered at 7:30am yesterday morning, but is nowhere to be seen.

If Amazon made it more beneficial to be truthful instead of lying, this would be fixed tomorrow.

From what I understand, Amazon baked in penalties into the USPS contract, and the USPS is gaming the system to their benefit.

your packages are in some class C apartment on Aldine Mail route in Houston having been essentially stolen by a cartel / gang who does this for their livelihood; supported by postal employees who all believe they are victims. BLOW IT UP

This sounds like you are suggesting the performance guarantees are the problem when in reality the lying to cover for the failure is merely a symptom of the failure. If USPS was capable of delivering on their commitments, they wouldn't have to be lying to game the system.

However, the results suggest that, in the next contract, Amazon should require USPS to provide proof of delivery rather than just the drivers say so, like the photos taken by every other delivery provider.

So, I have a package coming. Shipped from NJ, went to New York, then Missouri, then to Dallas, and now it is sitting in Denver, but still shows delivery today.

I know it happens sometimes where a package gets put on the wrong truck. I've seen it with FedEx and UPS, but come on. After it left Dallas, it hit two other stops before arriving in Denver, departing Denver, and arriving back in Denver this morning. When scanned, it should have been caught and routed back to Texas.

It will probably end up in LA or Miami before reaching Texas in January.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Is that why an Amazon delivery date is now 1 week instead of 2 days, even if being delivered outside of B/CS?

Is the strike more widespread than a fulfillment warehouse in Statin Island and a last mile distribution center in Queens? Hard to see how the strike would affect Texas unless the one thing you want is only at the Statin Island warehouse.

I received 5 different individual's mail today. None of which even live on my road and do not have my last name. One of them was an address that is actually 8 miles away from my address. C'mon, it is not that hard.

Had a package that started with UPS and then was sent for delivery by USPS. I got the delivery notice, but no package. I waited a couple of days because I often get a notice and then the package shows up days later. I finally filed an inquiry with USPS. Got a phone call today from USPS. The lady on the phone was very polite, helpful, apologized, explained the mistake and told me what she would do to correct the situation. I know we are all frustrated with USPS, but appreciated the phone call and how it was handled.

We've been waiting on a certified letter from someone in Florida since mid-November. As of December 3, it was back in Florida for some reason with no updates since then.
We finally got this letter on New Year's Eve. Took 6 weeks to get here.
