I even had packages show up days before they were due!
How many years ago was that?EMY92 said:
I once sent a birthday present to a friend who lives in the area. I wasn't going to see her until the weekend. I dropped off the package at the post office near my office, it was delivered to the recipient's house that afternoon.

Props to Congressman Mccaul, his office resolved a USPS delivery issue in 3 business days that I have been fighting for 7 months.

How in the world does the USPS have the authority to make a "student housing" determination about a preexisting apartment complex that has been getting mail delivery for years - likely decades? What are the criteria ? So much unanswered.

I gotta say my packages have actually been arriving in 2 days from Amazon in the last few weeks. It has been a pleasent suprise!
I won't be surprised when they begin to declare whole neighborhoods as student housing and refuse to deliver to those homes.EBrazosAg said:

I wrote to him but didn't get a reply. I checked the box that said I did want him to contact me.
Anyone else get any kind of reply from McCaul?
Is there anyone else we should also contact to see if they can help put some pressure on the post office to rescind their idiotic decision?

McCauls constituent office game is not good by reputation. Probably the only thing about him I like less than Carpetbagger Pete.
Some of the subdivisions have kioshs with multiple mailboxes where homeowners go to get their mail. Also, many of the newer apartment complexes also have central mailbox stations.EBrazosAg said:

You wrote him a letter, and sent it via the USPS…. And he didn't answer…..
Isn't it ironic?

Frank Albergo, president of the Postal Police Officers Association, said what's happening at USPS is a "disaster."
"I hate to say this, but right now there are pockets within America where the mail is unsafe. It's being stolen. It's being ransacked. It's being sold on the dark web. I mean, it's completely out of control," Albergo said. "As a postal service employee, it's sad to see. I mean, this is something that you're proud of. You're proud of the postal service. It's one of the most beloved federal institutions and right now it's under attack. It's under attack by criminals. Criminals are infiltrating the postal service."

That's ridiculous. You would think they would understand they have to put any place of business on the route for a business hours delivery schedule. Geez.Rapier108 said:Same at my employer.dallasiteinsa02 said:

They keep trying to deliver around 8PM, long after we're closed. Then they don't even attempt it for a day or two because we're "closed."
Then they try to deliver at 8PM and the cycle starts all over again.
