You assume there is an accident or something but you drive the whole length and there is no issue (headed out of town again)

Highway traffic should never stop, everyone needs to pull their head out of their posterierior


If you failed to change lanes in time, proceed to the next exit and turn around. Don't make the whole highway bend to your will.

If you are not comfortable in traffic, stay off the road during peak hours or take an uber.

I think that if you get passed by multiple cars on the right, you should get a ticket.

Actively pass or get over, meaning you got 10 seconds or less to pass the car on your right

Given the uptick in bad driving I've observed, I'm starting to think "Covid brain" might be real. Def something going on. I literally witnessed someone making a u-turn at one of the now infamous medians, and ploughing straight into another car.

Be careful out there, it's bad.

CoCS went from enforced stopping for red lights (cameras) to stopping for red lights are optional (or it seems like it)... In my lifetime

I was in the left lane patiently (sarcasm) waiting for the 18 wheeler in front of me to pass the 18 wheeler next to him going .00001 mph slower (both going 15 mph under the 75 mph speed limit). Wasn't paying much attention behind me until I noticed movement. A DPS guy apparently was waiting equally patiently about 4 cars behind me. The movement I saw was the cars immediately behind me bailing quickly to the right lane. As I saw the DPS gaining quickly I got out of the way and his lights blew up before I got out of the lane. This side by side nonsense had been going on for 10 minutes by the time this happened. I thought maybe he had an emergency. Nope, he pulled both 18 wheelers over. As I passed them all pulling over I swear I thought could hear cheering from the other cars backed up by these jackwads.

Saw one today. Red pickup on 290 doing the "drift left / sharp correct back to the right" thing a couple of times. Passed him to get away from him and to see what kind of phone he was using.

To my surprise he was not messing with a phone. Instead, he had a big 'ol sandwich in his left hand and a fountain drink in his right (Bucc-ee's I presumed).

Few miles later, some crew has the right lane closed starting directly after an on-ramp so there's tons of merging, then I realize Sandwich Guy is once again in front of me. It's stop and go traffic now, and he must've gotten his stop and his go mixed up, because he suddenly smashed hard into the SUV in front of him.

They're all around us.

Please get on the freeway at freeway speed. Not 30 MPH under.

Please take the keys away from your elderly relatives.

I'm not sure if they're working on Wellborn Road between Rock Prairie and 2818 this morning or not, but if not, this is the start of week four that no one has been out there at all.

This is how these "6 month projects" end up lasting a year or more.

Left lane for passing (IF YOU'RE GOING FASTER THAN THE SPEED LIMIT) only !

If you are going 65 and get into the left lane to pass a car going 63 that is incorrect. You are not left lane material. The left lane is for people going at least 5 over on the highway only. Slow doesn't get to pass slower. Fast (+5) or 80mph and Fastest 85+ is the only ones that get to utilize the left lane.

Big wreck on Texas Ave at Harvey (southbound). A truck struck a car (T-boned) and threw the car up on top of the retaining wall. The truck must have been speeding along to do that much damage. You have to wonder what the truck driver was running from or if the driver was just running a red light at warp speed.

Highway 6 should have been expanded 10 years ago.

2 major problems, both highway related.

1) Merge onto the highway at highway speed. Note the highway speed is 70 or 75.....this means your MINIMUM speed entering the highway is 70+ which means you need to accelerate on the entrance ramp and you need to be going 70+ BEFORE you reach the end of the ramp. It is the pedal on the right. Press it !

2) Do NOT SLOW DOWN when exiting the highway until you are off the highway. Maintain highway speed in the right lane when your exit is coming up. Maintain highway speed when exiting on the exit ramp. Many exits are not big enough, and have lots of people exiting the same exit, so as to not slow down the highway do not slow down until you are well onto (halfway down) the exit ramp.

The majority of folks violating both of these probably shouldn't be driving due to their advanced decrepitude. Maybe they should convert the county busses to senior busses who make stops at Walmarts, PO, and various medical facilities in town.

This community is a "perfect storm" of bad driving: college students and teenagers who are bad/reckless drivers in general. Lots of senior citizens who shouldn't be driving, but are in part due to lack of public transportation. Townies with their faces buried in their phones. Probably a healthy population of undocumented laborers who got their licenses via sketchy means. Endless unnecessary and unwanted TXDOT projects.

I always argue that every fall we take 75K+ of the worst drivers in the state and concentrate them between two rivers with limited transportation options. For this, Brazos county should have infinite and priority transportation funding.
