There is no excuse for a health care professional that wants the vaccine or is required to get the vaccine to not have gotten at least one dose. As the first group (1a), they have been eligible since before Christmas. At this point, for whatever reason, they have chosen to not be vaccinated. Their choice.

I thought it was strange and didn't pursue it further. But there have been stories about health care workers saying they won't get vaccinated, and this is regarding people who had not already been infected.

If this person were serious I'd be concerned as this is a major health care unit in BCS. But I also understand not wanting to come out and admit being anti-vaxx for fear of shaming, or freaking out a patient.

No county allocations but the states are still getting doses, and here's the numbers for Texas for week of May 17:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And here's the vaccinations numbers for Brazos county and Texas as of May 15th.

Vaccinations by age groups with "at least one shot" status for the Texas and Brazos County as percent. Last two columns are the count of Brazos County residents with "at least one shot" "BC >=1" along with change over last 7 days, and finally county residents that have not had any vaccination "BC = 0".

age -------- Tx -------- BC ---------- BC >= 1 ----------- BC = 0

16-49 ----- 42% ----- 39% ------- 52,382 (+1366) ---- 83,360
50-64 ----- 64% ----- 65% ------- 18,411 (+346) ------ 10,077

Looks like masks will be optional outdoors effective May 28th and optional indoors effective June 28th.
