If you look, the raw case numbers drop by about ~300/day. I guess that means the health department is working through their backlog at that clip? Using that math, they will be done with the backlog in 7-8 days?

To me, this massive number of positive tests was to be expected when all the students came back and were forced to be tested.Vinewood_03 said:
Can someone Cliff Notes it for me. Why cases appearing to sky rocket yet current COVID hospitalizations are down and school district cases are wayyyy down. What gives?
As isitjustme said above and myself and others have said on recent pages, BCHD is currently reporting positive tests that are old and inactive as current cases. The media will not question them on it because they like the doom and gloom headlines that the terrible BCHD reporting creates.

I'll go ahead and say it… The new cases seem a tad bit low compared to what we have been used to.

Hospital rates and Deaths are the only thing that are remotely close to being an accurate picture of how it is around here.

BCHD is also saying that these deaths occurred in September and they are just now reporting themtrouble said:

Throughout August and September the county is averaging over one death per day. The state reporting 338 and is running about 10 days behind actual death date (and only one of those is October). Until the "date of death" per day numbers decline I'm guessing that 7 or 8 a week to continue. So if county data doesn't have any October deaths, then they are probably currently behind a half dozen plus.trouble said:Sarvab said:BCHD is also saying that these deaths occurred in September and they are just now reporting themtrouble said:
