My intro to game day flyovers was in 2011 (I was a grad student, did undergrad elsewhere back in the 90s). I lived on Hasselt St off Victoria.
B-52 at low level, felt like it went right over my house. After that, I could take my kids out to the football field at the middle school to watch the planes on their approach to Kyle.

My grandfather flew B-52s at Castle Air Force Base in California. I remember standing under the wing on the tarmac once for pictures. That thing was huge.
Looked up as I was walking out of Home Depot just before noon and say a C-5 flying low overhead. Flew off in the direction of Navasota.

I saw this as well at the farmers market in Bryan right before noon!

Did anybody else see the Southwest plane coming into land last Saturday (5/15) or hear anything about it? I figured it must have been an emergency or something but have not seen anything in the news.
I'm pretty sure what you saw was a Sun Country charter with one of our athletic teams (or opponents) on them. There were two Sun Country 737's here within an hour of each other on Saturday around lunchtime.RedAss1424 said:

(Actually, the LSU baseball team is inbound on a 737 from Baton Rouge right now, should be landing shortly.)
Sun Country planes are brightly colored like Southwest, but not exactly the same. This is not the exact planes that were here but similar:

B-25 just flew over the house in south CS
Caught a few snaps of the C-130 that was doing touch and gos earlier. This was from the south as it was banking for another pass.
So, there were not 64 Rangers on a one-way trip then?
