you'll soon learn when you're cigars are like you like them.
for instance, i just seasoned a new humidor and moved some of my dad's stash into mine. i went to pick up a cigar and squeezed it and it was too moist. so i made the adjustments to the humidity and will let the cigar sit for a few weeks.
the tupperdor should be good for only a few days at a time.
however, if you really want to make a humidor out of one, gooogle "humidibeads" and buy a jar of these. they should stabilize your tupperdor pretty good.
Heartfelt Industries, you can get them in 60,65,70% whatever your preference. I use them in all my 'dors. Alone in one, along with an Oasis in another, and along with a couple of Oust fans in my coolerdor.
Never heard of him. I have Sirius so I can't get the it. I guess if I wait a while for them to merge maybe I can. Thompsons is a joke! I can't remember the actual Thompson guy's name, seems like Steve but that doesn't matter whose family owned the comapny but he's apparently in Dallas now. I don't remember how I happened on this dude but he pimps Don Benigno cigars liek they're the greatest thing in the world. So, I bought some, they get here and look great. they turn out to be more flavorless than smoking air and milder than a gold label macanudo. Horrible. end of rant.
Well I screwed up and accidentally posted a new thread, but anybody interested in starting a Texags cigar club in each of our respective areas? Hell, a few pints and cigars can't hurt anyone, right?
For those of us who don't buy online......yet.....Are you wary of the slide-open cabinet humidors in some "tobacco" stores? Do you prefer the walk-in humidor when purchasing from a store?
if the store is nice, people seem knowledgable etc. i have no problem buying. however, if it's a grocery store type job where nobody really cares, then i wont.

You should start. Holts, Old Virginia Tobacco, CI, and there are quite a few other reliable sources as well.
As far as the cabinet 'dors usually you are going to find 1 of 2 things, cigars too wet or too dry. Also they are usually where they get way too much light and heat which will ruin the tobacco quickly.
I am fixing to put in a cigar order. Looking to try a few new smokes that y'all recommend. Let's try to keep suggestions around $5 a stick (online price). I'll go more for a really great smoke, but I don't want to blow a Benjamin on this order if I can help it.
my first choice would be a box of Padron 3000 Maduros. the last box i bought was around $85 shipped. if you can't get those for less than a bill, the 2000 maduros or the Delicias Maduros are for sure in your range. all of the padron cigars are well made, and have exquisite complexity.
my next choice would be a box of each: Gispert Maduro Toros and Gispert Natural Toros. these can be had at around $40/box. they are honduran compared to the padron's nicaraguans. they are a great, inexpensive smoke that i have been enjoying lately.
lastly, i would look at the Casa Toranos. this is Toranos mildest cigar but it is a beauty. i'm not quite sure what the price is, but if you can find them, they should be affordable.
Chemist I highly suggest you get something from Pepin Garcia, especially the JJ line or the purple banded ones (can't remember the name). Those can be had for slightly more than that. Tatuaje is you change your mind on price. Arturo Fuente Chateau Series Cuban Belicoso.
I'd keep a running total of those bad boys just to keep your buddy honest. And make sure and try one of the Pepin Garcia or Tatuaje you won't be sorry. I'm full of other suggestions but not really in the 5-6 price range. My taste in cigars is far too rich for my income level.

MasterAggie, my online cigar store must not be high toney enough to carry your smokes.
