Always a possibility!

They will probably mostly focus on lawfare against Trump and any of his associates for the next two years.

After watching the left gleefully celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk for the crime of talking to college kids, I personally plan to comply with exactly zero percent of any gun control those blood thirsty lunatics manage to pass.

Republicans have two years to straighten their **** out. Democrats dont have the votes to override a veto.

Trump is already talking about making deals with these weirdos. I'm afraid of gun control being a piece of one of those deals. Trump should sit back as a lame duck and veto every piece of legislation those ****birds put across his desk for the next two years, but his ego would never let him do that.

You can almost guarantee there will be. Especially when the dumbass electorate votes in whichever Sultan as the next democrat president.

If I had to guess on the priority of the democrats starting Feb 1 of next year, it would be:

1. Impeaching Trump
2. Pushing through judicial appointments that the spineless POS republican leadership int he senate sat on and did nothing with over the last 2 years
3. Undoing select legislation, specifically border protection, 2A/NFA and immigration controls
4. Undoing any deal that Trump or his administration made out of pure hate and spite
5. Social "justice" issues because they will cater to the blue haired liberal women and every other marginalized group that has a specific agenda that they can cram through

Has anyone joined Gunowners of America to be protected by the injunction in case the policy changes? I have read a little about it but am not sure whether it will actually help. Seems like if there is a policy change with new administration, it will be a cluster with all the unregistered suppressors out there.

The biggest problem is that all of this was just policy changes. Next president can appoint new head of ATF and undo it all just as quickly.

There should have been legislation passed while the Senate, House and President were all under Republican control. I would hope Trump would veto any anti-gun legislation but who knows how he will feel that day. I'm still leery of the 4473 NFA transfers, but I will make sure I get some free tax stamps in the next two years.

The R's are wonderful at doing jack and squat when they have the opportunity to pass legislation. They absolutely suck at being the party in power.

The fact that the senate leader is still sitting on judicial appointments, SAFE Act and a host of other things tells you everything you need to know about who they are. And the lack of judicial appointments will end up being one of the biggest fumbles in political history IMO because it was a real opportunity to change the political makeup of the federal judiciary. And the cowards have done absolutely nothing, and won't do anything.

You can bet that the second the D's get their hands on things we are going to have a slew of new judicial appointments that love them some purple hair, special pronouns, rainbow flags, transgender whatevers and hate guns.

I do not think gun control has the political capital that is used to. They didn't do it when they had veto proof under Obama.

Not sure they will go after them as the popularity has only grown since then. Lots of rural and suburban people own these things and voted Dem.

Everything else you listed... hold on to your butts.

I think they will because the new 4473 rule on suppressors wasn't done via legislation. A new lefty president gets in and appoints some idiot as his ATF director, all it takes is a memo sent out that the ATF is going back to enforcing '34 NFA and its a done deal. Low hanging fruit and it will show their base that they are still gun grabbing *******s.

Personally? Absolutely. And I am not a doomer, at all. In fact I am fairly ambivalent overall to the blue wave despite being a staunch conservative. I just don't buy into the fear porn fully.

Except 2A

It is one of THE pounding hammers of the Democratic party as a whole. They are universally aligned against it and we have proof of that and their relentless assault on it over the last few decades. It WILL come back up again as a front running issue. The only question in my mind, is going to be the timing. If they go witch hunting, it may buy us the space needed for conservatives to get our **** in order and make a difference on the national stage again. As of now though, I don't think anyone is going to be able to convince me that a squeeze is not coming at some point or at least a damn big fight about it.

Man my daughter got a good offer to play in college yesterday. My very first thought was 'That will free up some gun money. Hope she takes it.'

Maybe. But since Thune is a spineless POS and didn't take the opportunity to fill a whole lot of judicial seats, the lefties will have a lot of their folks sitting on the bench. And if we know anything about their game plan, they have no problem playing the long game and finding every legal loophole they possibly can to get their way.

Also, the current SC isn't going to be structured politically the way it is now. Soon Thomas will retire and odds are there will be a D president and D senate to replace him.

Sorry if I'm pessimistic, I just have zero faith in the government to do right, and I have even less faith in a socialist party to not find any and every way possible to systematically erode every freedom we have left. Even less when the muslim cult gets enough people elected to positions in government.
