High to low, a lot has happened since NY with that post. It ended in a miscarriage. It's such a nothing burger, but an everything burger in the grand scheme of things. Anyways, skiing tomorrow night and Friday morning to just not. We decided to tell our 6 year old this weekend on the mountain and gave her a big sis sweater. Then Sunday night happened and it all flushed at 18 weeks. Wife has a slew of doc visits and wrecked. Bleh. Just *****

Sorry to hear that. We went through 3 of those over the course of about 18 months and had moved onto specialists. A few vitamins and some over the counter stuff and magically we got pregnant by the grace of god.
He's now 10 months old and we look back on how rough that time was.
Only support I can provide is chin up, try again, and see some trusted doctors. Pregnancy is a miracle and sometimes just needs a little nudge.
Very sorry to hear. We went through it too - twice in a row. It was extremely difficult (crushing for her). But we stayed the course and ended up with twins the next time around, which seemed fitting. Biggest thing is to support her (obviosuly), keep yalls head up and you'll get through it.

Brother my heart breaks reading that. I think it's far more common than anyone talks about but it is so hard emotionally, i can't even imagine 18 weeks. Take care of each other and your little girl and keep getting into those mountains for healing.

8" at Purg in last 24 hrs. Good day, glad I didn't shovel snow today at house, it all melted!
Yeah, it was 2 days good skiing during and after the snow, and we're on our way home today. It's already getting warm, and melting off everything. Only two good crashes this time, both my fault for a bit recklessly flying off a roller without being quite able to stick the landing on the downhill terrain.
I hope the new snow lasts a few more days at least.

Absolute cluster F at Schweitzer today. 14" in the last 24, bluebird day, busiest day on the mountain this year. Avalanche crew has the entire back bowl shutdown still.
A camper van got stuck on one of the switchbacks this morning and it was a stand still for miles. Luckily we were ahead of them.

First time skiing with the family was spring break 2022 at Beaver Creek. It snowed the night before and continued into the morning. We hop in my wife's two wheel drive Tahoe to get up the mountain around 7am. We start up the switchbacks from Avon and there is a suburban turned sideways. I had to make the split decision of either stopping and probably never getting started again or squeeze around doing 15. Chose the ladder and thankful we did because no one else got by for 45 minutes.

The rumor I just heard was avy crew lost 2 charges.
Any recent Park City reports? Headed there late next week.

Was there on the 20th-23rd. Everything was open. All groomed though as they haven't had snow for a week before we got there. Looks like they're getting 3-6" this week. Should be good unless you're looking for 18" of POW!!
Just picked up some new to me Black Crows Captis. I've been on some Rosignol pursuit 200 170cm for the last three seasons. They've been great but as I've gotten much better at speed and turns I wanted something a little longer and stable. Not to mention a bit wider for powder. Pretty excited to test them out this next week.

On the topic of avalanche charges, at the end of November I was at Breckenridge and they were setting off charges in the Horseshoe bowl directly above where I was skiing. The exact area wasn't open obviously, it was provably about 1000' away. I trust they know what they doing but damn was that weird and a bit eerie to me. Never seen them do that above an area that's open. They opened the bowl later that day too.
