Shot in the dark but does anyone have Sun God Sniper goggles? My wife bought me a new lens for Christmas (that I asked her for) but I realized I have an older model with a different connection. They'll exchange them but the return shipping probably isn't worth it.

I guess contacts are in my near future.
I skied with cheap goggles over my glasses for years. They would fog on the first lift of the day then clear after a few minutes at the top. Then they would be fine the rest of the day. If you have really big frames it may be more of an issue. Mine were small.
We've been skiing with these the last few years. Cheap and easy, hardly any fog. If you don't want to spend a bunch of money these might not be a bad option.
Also, we also ski a week or so a year so this may not be enough

Ah no. Up at Mt A. Was good powder (heavy and wet though) but super windy. Trying to get as many reps as we can since my 6 year old starts ski team next week.
Daughter had her first ski race yesterday. She really wanted to win a trophy and stand on the podium, but we settled for 7th. She is going to work on not slowing down at the gates.

Heading to PC tomorrow. Luckily they have opened up many of the runs we usually enjoy on the Canyon's side. Most of the black/double black are closed. Just hoping the ski patrol strike ends before we ski on Friday...not holding my breath though. Gonna make the best of it!
Pretty crappy when you get 3ft of snow, 10 inches added to the base and only open 5% of the hill and 21% total due to labor shortages.

Yes. Not ideal. But luckily we're not a black/double black family. Expecting longer lift times but 80% of the runs we usually take are open. Hopefully they get it figured out but I imagine if Vail is willing to hold out through the Christmas/New Years week then they're willing to hold out until MLK.

She's 6 and at Schweitzer. This year is just development and a couple of home races.
If she wants to stick with it next year (and we're still in the area) she can do either 1 or 2 days per week. The 2-day program is more competitive and would have to travel for a couple of competitions. This year it's Schweitzer, Mount Spokane, and Lookout Pass.
It's worth it.
So I think I might've screwed up on passes this year. I have my epic pass this year but got my son the Colorado school kids pass. I booked lessons for him later this month at vail & BC but the pass discount wasn't applied. I'm afraid it's because I got him the epic school kids pass and me having a pass doesn't count for a discounted lesson for him. Anyone know if this is the case?
Should get a Colorado kids ski free lesson for free IIRC

I've been skiing with glasses over 20 years. Hate using goggles. Don't have contacts. I looked into prescription googles but it's not worth the cost for something I only do a couple of times a year.MouthBQ98 said:

Not all OTG goggles will fit over glasses well at all. Most don't fit over mine. Or they smash them back into my face where they smear. I finally found a pair that works, and fits with my helmet and doesn't fog terribly, but I don't use them unless conditions force me to - very snowy or sleety, or bitterly cold.
99% of the time I ski with prescription sunglasses. Infinitely better for me than fighting goggles all day.
Honestly I don't like goggles either. I'd rather just wear sun glasses.
Get a helmet with flip down visor. I've seen glasses wearing people wear those.

I could try the glasses only route but after I face planted hard 2 years ago in the great ACL blowout, I have an affinity for goggles.

Looking at the weather next week to drive from CO back to TX…wanted to avoid an icy panhandle on Wed….but seeing a little snow in Raton on Tuesday. How well do they take care of that pass in a storm like this?

Drove it several years ago in snow and some ice in a 2WD expedition. It sucked but I've never really driven in those conditions before. Now the drive from Granby through Winter Park in lots of snow, with chains on, THAT was hairy and very stressful.
