You are using the wrong bird seed

Hmmmm.....I might have to look into that. I let my dogs out at 4 AM this morning and they took off at top speed after something. Pretty sure there was a raccoon on one of the bird feeders as it was swinging pretty good when I took a look over there. Squirrels can't get past the baffle on the pole.BuddysBud said:
Squirrels and other mammals, like raccoons, don't like the burning sensation from the hot pepper. Birds cannot sense the spice. The birds eat the hot pepper food just like any other birdseed, but the squirrels leave it alone.
How do you like the Gamo? I just ordered a .22 Cal Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 from Amazon.Build It said:
I've just joined the Gammo whisperer crowd. I hear the scope sucks and I'll need to replace. I have a few rifle scopes around. Anything y'all recommend for the gammo?
Don't ever buy a Crossman Fire. Cheap, loud, not very accurate, trigger sucks. Done with that chinese POS. Pick up the new curbside in a few for an evening backyard hunt.

pumped up sheridan blue streak .22 caliber pellet gun will do the trick. I kill skunks with 7 pumps.

But it's more fun to shoot squirrels. They are rats with bushy tails.
I put a pile of corn in my back yard and shoot them with my bow. Killed 10 with my bow and 26 with Benjamin maurader. They don't come in my yard anymore.

My squirrel count is currently at 19 with a Gamo Whisperer .177 cal. All confirmed kills and generally body shots. I don't think you have to have a .22lr.
I mean, you may "need" one and that's fine.
We used to shoot squirrels in the backyard growing up with a Red Ryder and occasionally a pellet gun (and before you say that won't kill them), it never penetrated their hide but stunned them long enough to knock them out of the trees where our lab was waiting. She got so used to it that she thought squirrels dropped out of the sky just for her. It took her 6mo after we moved off to college for her to stop looking up in the trees and waiting for the tree rats to fall.aggie1819 said:McDadeTXAggie said:aggie1819 said:

Cheap entertainment and the dogs love retrieving them

If I had this when I was a kid, never would have made it to adulthood. Sister would have murdered me by day 2 and my body would still be missing.
That is awesome. Too bad my lack of a job at 10 would have put that out of my price range.Quote:

Can confirm that a rifle of similar caliber does the job... Just don't plan on eating them after the fact.Mtn_Guide said:
DRD, Not the quietest but it will get rid of the squirrels
I just watched a 41 min show about shooting squirrels, chipmunks, coons, skunks and opossums. Dear Baby Jesus, please let this quarantine end soon! Good video though.OaklandAg06 said:
I stumbled onto this YouTube channel earlier this week- not sure how or why, but now I want to get one of these Ed Gun Pellet guns. Get ready to waste some time watching some squirrels get wasted.
I feel your pain... I was actually thinking, 'I can make a video like this' while watching the video. I will probably need to upgrade my camera but... Giddings watch out.AnScAggie said:I just watched a 41 min show about shooting squirrels, chipmunks, coons, skunks and opossums. Dear Baby Jesus, please let this quarantine end soon!
