Get a cattle trough from Tractor Supply fill with water and you will be removing drowned squirrels weekly.

Will kill them dead. Hell it does in full grown rabbits in my yard (which is what i bought it for, little ****s dig big holes). Able to shoot it in my backyard without the neighbors caring since its just a spring with a small pop noise, less than a balloon popping.
