I would say somewhere between $650 and 1k depending if it is a "three screw" and if it has been converted to have a hammer bar safety.

I am looking for one but it is not on my buy immediately list. What is the barrel length?

3 screw and no transfer bar from what I can tell, 4 5/8. barrel.
The transfer bar is what im having a hard time with..... apparently those without the fix are valued higher because a group of people prefer them ...... are these wild west shooters????

They are preferred by some because they were unmodified from the original design. Without modification you "should" load one less round so that you can put the hammer down on an empty chamber.

By "wild west shooters" I assume you mean Cowboy Action Shooters. CAS use Vaqueros among other non Ruger revolvers. The Blackhawks have non traditional target sights. People, like myself who own and shoot Blackhawks come from all walks of life and interest groups. They are very practical field guns as they are accurate and powerful.

Old models (3 screw) and New models have their respective followings. Both are excellent designs. The old models that have been converted are a train wreck. They are terrible. Fortunately they can be restored to use old model parts although they are getting harder to come by.

The old model 357, such as yours is kinda like the Remington 700 in that many people buy them to build custom guns on. Particularly the Flattop models made prior to 1963.

Assuming yours has not been converted, in 80-90% condition I would guess it would bring about $600-700. More for a Flattop. Less if it has been converted.

(Still) For sale:
S&W 438 Airweight Bodyguard .38 +p revolver. 1 7/8" barrel, 5-shot. I doubt I've put 50 rounds through this thing. perfect condition with box.

Have 2 MilSpec diameter Magpul MOE carbine stocks (Black, FDE). The guns I want to put them on have commercial diameter tubes. Before I spend $60 replacing perfectly good tubes, looking to trade.

Does anyone have any Milspec tubes laying around for cheap sale or trade? Or do you have a commercial diameter stock to trade for my MIlspec?

Someone give me their thoughts on a gun I saw today.

Winchester 1892. 25-20. Really good condition. Bluing is mostly gone on the receiver but present on the barrel. No pitting. Shoots like a dream. 1908 manufacture.

Has an Indian head and a cattle brand on the stock that was contemporary to the time as well as the name and location of the owner. However it was not etched in like the BS you see on later guns. This was well done and looks really cool.

I want to buy it but those are not the easiest guns to get a good price on

Barrel length and design? To me that gun is easily worth $1500 if original barrel length and an octagonal barrel.

All original. No modifications. Standard Barrel. My guess is 20 inches but I didn't measure it.

In that condition I'd say $1500 is a reasonable amount for sure.

Sounds awesome and a neat piece of history but id be surprised if it's worth 1k. Pretty sure 25-20 is one of the less desirable chamberings
Now if you can come up with a fun story and some provenance with the brand and whatnot someone on antiques roadshow will probably tell you it's worth 6 figures, but this is what i recall from when i had the opportunity to buy a pre 64 25-20 off an estate 8 or so years ago. I think that was an 1894 so i could be way off. Curious what blue book says

The problem is I already have 2 "real" builds queued.

I did replace some dust covers today…so I guess with used dust covers, take off buffer tubes, old triggers from my Christmas "upgrade every trigger" project, the gas block I'm replacing this week, and some roll pins I'm on my way to a half dozen new builds.
