I do! Yeah its a 1-8 so it would be terrible for your 7 PRC but would probably be great on your Geissele.

Absolutely love the scope and I've used it for run and guns, carbine classes etc. Only reason I'm thinking about moving it is that I'm trying to slowly switch everything over to Mil reticles and this one is the MOA reticle.

That looks like an amazing scope and just what I am looking for, but I am just getting into the FFP scope/long range game. I made the decision to go Mils and would like to stay with Mils as well. My only other thought is since it is not really a long range scope would it be that big of deal it being in MOA since you aren't dialing it most of the time?? I know you can get reticles switched but sounds like NF is pretty pricey. Just curious as I have not had that much experience with LPVO's and FFP in general. I don't know what I don't know.

It's not a huge deal and part of why I haven't listed it for sale yet is that I keep debating if I'm going to actually get rid of it just because its not in Mils or keep it myself because its a good scope.

I basically do zero dialing with this scope. When I used it for classes/competitions I just used velocity data and ballistic apps to know what my hold was for different distances and it worked just fine.

The great thing about this NX8 is that its light (only 17 oz) and great glass so its right at home on a 5.56 rifle for 0-300 range stuff. The reticle is daylight bright like a red dot at 1x, though it is thick and not super refined at 8x on small targets at distance.

Let me know if its something you think you might be interested in trading the MCX for, if not I can probably do cash for the rifle.

Here's a pic of it on my 11" MCX before a class.

Sorry for the delay trying to do some research to figure out what I would prefer to do.

Back when I did a fair amount of long range shooting I went through this transition as well. Switched from MOA to Mil and SFP to FFP. FFP/Mil is definitely the most user friendly, but if you're dialing for distance and not using the reticle for holdover or wind, then MOA vs Mil and FFP vs SFP won't matter.

FFP essentially makes the reticle holdover and wind holds the same at every magnification, where SFP requires a certain mag to be correct (from what I can remember). You could use the MOA/SFP, get your 100 yard zero, then walk it out to 200 and 300 and get the zeros. Type it on a piece of paper and tape it to the scope then you always know what to dial. Or mark it on the turret with a silver sharpie. And as Bender said, now there are apps that will do all that for you, but you need the velocity of the specific bullet you are shooting for them to be most accurate.

The advantage of MOA if dialing at distance is that it has a finer adjustment than Mill. A 1/4 MOA moves the POI .26 inches at 100 yards, whereas 1/10th Mill clicks move the impact .36 inches at 100. That can be significant at long distances when dialing.
