On several occasions, I've considered tethering my wife's current cat to the tree out front, Jurassic Park style.

Consider this cat owner to be Team Fox.
Mittens is an excellent name for a cat.

Friend of mine lived in rural NM and would trap cats in the city and let loose for his dogs to chase as part of training them for mtn lion hunts. I heard It was fun to drink some beers and drive around until the dogs did their work. Great exercise for them. For the record, we have lost a few cats over the years, likely 1 fox and 1 owl... just part of having outside/ indoor cats!

A neighbor who turns out their cat(s) daily is of the most lazy and rudest kind. They **** everywhere but their owner's yard and leave their foul odor and hair on every piece of outdoor furniture they can find. I had a cat problem once. I didn't kill them, but I gave them a free ride from which they could never return. And I'll do it again if the problem arises. No talk, no warning, just a vanishing. When a cat enters the outdoors it becomes part of the food chain, same as dogs. God bless all cat control creatures, animals and humans alike!

Get a beagle. There are two grades based on size. Get the larger one and have him hang out with the cat when it is out doors. I think he will keep the fox away and maybe even force him to leave the vicinity.

First: Wow. Completely missed this thread.

Now I know why you aholes wouldn't answer my fox thread a couple weeks ago.

Second: I have 2 cats that wait for a gray fox on it's nightly path through the place, and constantly harass the fox.

Meh. Suburbanites and their cat phobias.
Get out in the country a bit and most everyone has a half feral barn cat or two that pick fights with fox, and have battle scars from owls and bobcats.
