Irma is starting to look a lot more likely to come visit someone on the east coast. Still lots of time for models to change, but I'm paying a lot of attention to this one now.
Looked like Florida keys into the gulf to me
What model are you look at right now? Everything I've seen has it moving more and more north....
Latest GFS and Euro runs had it pull in right around the NC/SC border.
If you opinion isn't informed, right now isn't the time for conjecture.....

This wouldn't be a ride out track, that's a dead-on bug out track. We do have a SHTF scenario plan including what to take and where to go, but I really don't want to use it.
I would prioritize things in your house that are too valuable to replace and get a game plan to move those if need be. Not a fun thought to have but it was something I hadn't done before and wish I had. And if you leave make sure you completely empty your fridge and freezer. It sucks also but you will be glad you did. Of course let's hope it spins out into open water and everyone will be ok but not a bad idea to plan

I already have pictures of serial numbers for expensive tools and other things that are too large to come along with.
We have a long time left to go to see what Atlantic and Midwest ridges are actually going to do, and we're only just now starting to have recon flights into Irma. I couldn't see us really doing much besides filling up cars until Wednesday at the earliest. It's been a hell of a weekend to start running a 100 degree fever though.
Y'all are smart. Hopefully it will follow the trend of the big storms out east and be a fish spinner.

My oldest son is 26 and a police officer in Houston. He posted a pic of his preparations for Harvey and it was all inclusive: fine whiskey and cigars!

I keep waiting for the inevitable nudges to the east/northeast that it seems like everything that's supposed to hit somewhere along the east coast gets. Seems like forecasts always end up pulling back to a degree, I'm surprised to see the NHC's track running into Cuba.
12Z GFS of course brought the inevitable. Major hurricane avoiding Cuba, striking South Florida, passing through Miami and moving back just off the coast and then swinging back through the Savannah area. Terrible for Florida + worst case landfall location for us in terms of surge.
