I could not wait, so I'm burning one of my new sticks now. This Illusione Ultra O.P. No. 9 is great so far. I have not tried this cigar yet and it is impressive. Great draw, full flavor of peanut butter burnt caramel and leather in the first third. Plenty of strength, but really nice after dinner with a glass of bourbon.

We really need to put something together with the pics and lists and get a Padron sponsorship for the next pass! Just kidding, but maybe, just maybe, not.

I met those guys several years ago at a Serious Cigars event. You'd think they would be somewhat cocky with their draw (no pun intended), but they really appreciated positive comments and spent a ton of time with every person that talked to them. They really want everyone to enjoy a Padron, no matter the line. Some of the makers had some pretty cocky reps, but not the Padron family.

Or, perhaps, if we buy all our sticks through the same outlet that happens to carry Padron, and show evidence of all the Padrons in this Texags Cigar Pass, maybe THEY could set something up? Get enough pass members signed up, with reference and props to the common sales outlet, and get a Padron passed on for free if they handle the purchases and shipping? Just a thought.

Only place I've seen them en masse is the Serious Cigars event several years ago, but their event gets bigger every year, and tickets sell out in an hour or so now from what I understand.

If we are going to "go big", why not Padron? If this pass thing got big enough, why can't they get a small sponsorship of what would amount to a few boxes of cigars through a shop? Chump change for the maker, and good advertisement for a supplier. Think about it. For the supplier, get two boxes "thrown in" to spread around for a sponsorship, and the supplier help with the shipping if the orders all go through them.

Turn a 4 (or 5) cigar pass into a 5 (or 6) with a GOOD? Padron thrown in. Not a regular, a 64 Anniversarie.

Buy 5, have one thrown in as a common. Everyone benefits on the pass, as does the supplier and maker.

Or, thinking REALLY big, have Padron and Patel throw one each in........

We'd need ONE supplier, capable of handling all orders, shipped properly, with some connection to a quality maker that would want to increase market share across a large pass.

At the event, back then we paid $100. For an all you could eat buffet of "*****s ovaries" Hoursdorusves or whatever, and all the alcoholic drinks/beer we could consume, AND a 20 stick bag of sticks from the mfgs that were in attendance at the event. If the TABC fun buster bunch did not squash that, nobody would.

Think BIG. Ask.

Gotta hit the sack. Continue tomorrow. I think this has promise. Get some old Texags Cigar Pass guys back in, if we can pull it off. Numbers.
