The new SKB double barrel shotguns are made in Turkey by Akus. That is the same factory that produced the Smith&Wesson Elite Gold and the Kimber Valier, both now out of production but fine shotguns. They are really good shotguns. Current Akus production available in the US besides SKB are the D i c kinson shotguns sold by Cabela's but also available direct from D i c kinson on a custom order basis and becoming more available from other sources, and Webley & Scott at a higher price point.
I have one friend that custom ordered a D i c kinson semi-auto and he loves it, but IIRC they are made in a neighboring factory - same as the SKB semis. I'm not a semi-auto guy, so I can't comment much on them, except my friend likes it better than his CZ912 and it's right there with his Remingtons and Winchesters.
I have handled all three brands of doubles and the differences are mostly in configuration and cosmetics. They are really good shotguns and a heck of a deal for the price. When I was shopping for a new 20 gauge SxS, I came real close to buying an SKB 200, but "settled" for the slightly lower priced D i c kinson Estate from Cabela's only because I prefer double triggers in a SxS. I like it so much I bought a 28 gauge to go along with it.
I would never hesitate on a new SKB, or even the Webley & Scott offerings at a higher price point. They are all three essentially the same gun.
Edit for the ridiculous filter
