Yeah my 19' SS is the same way. My IROC that was painted over the summer took damage but not as bad as the 19.

We got caught in this storm today around 1:30 on Hwy 6 through Hearne and then over to Gause. Worst storm I can remember driving through in my life. Spent several sessions on the shoulder w hazards on, wind gusting to 60. Visibility 10 feet - maybe. Limbs flying by. Thankfully hail was pea gravel size. Was definitely a white knuckle hour and a half.
